this is me at speights brewery tour
Enjoy the remainder of the week!!!the things shermayne can come up with when she's bored....
at 11, the rest came. paid for our cadbury and speights tour for the next day. after that, walked along george st which is something like queen st in auckland. ate lunch at meridian mall, quite impress with it, it has more than 1 level!!!! like yingswan said, it reminds me of klcc. after that, walked to the uni... otago uni looks way way impressive than auckland uni. the building structures are just amazing. well, i seen it before when i was really young but yea, now had a better look at it. really WOW!!! i think that was the reason why i wanted to go to otago uni so much last time.
Thank goodness i changed my mind. why? coz later we went to yin's friend's house. the area wasn't really a pleasant sight to me. u can see shoes hanging on the telephone lines, grafitti on walkways, the houses looked sort of run-down to me, and apparently her friend don't even have internet in her house!! wahh seh!i won't be able to survive!!
went to countdown later on and bought some food. thanks david for carrying my stuff. went back to backpackers to rest before dinner. yingswan and weechin fell asleep. yin, me, darren and david decided to play shithead. never knew being a shithead can really make u feel so shitty!!! last time all the while when i played with the swimmers, we didn't feel THAT shitty, but this one....wahhhh.... they can really rub it in man....
at night, had dinner at asian restaurant.. yes, the restaurant itself is called ASIAN restaurant. how INTERESTING. the food was... let's just say it's not as good as auckland's asian restaurants. it wasn't really cold the day we arrived.quite ok. expected it to be colder. well, maybe it was coz i was wearing two thermals and two hoodies!! haha!
my first day comments on dunedin: dunedin has lots of nice buildings like the churches, railway station, university buildings...mostly ERECTED by the people of otago. but after awhile, they all looked sort of the same. just like nz itself. it has lots of nice sceneries but after awhile, they looked the same. sea and hills, sheeps and cows. another thing i realized is that otago-ians LOVE using the word ERECTED. what's up with that? sorry, i just find that word a wee bit disturbing. maybe it's coz the first time i see it being used was for........ u get what i mean, i need not elaborate. i'm not a dodgy person ok... :p
