Happy 20th Bday Koko

One whole post dedicated to YOU...

Dearest koko,

Happy 20th bday! Thanks for being such a great brother. I couldn't ask for a better one. You are the greatest koko in the whole wide world. There's lots of people whom I know that aren't that close with their brothers. I'm so thankful to actually have this strong bond with you after all these years. All the bullyings and fightings did actually brought us closer in the end.

When we were young, we would sit by the garden and start blowing bubbles and you would take my bubble solution from me. You would blow it on my leg and make it all soapy and then chase me around. Yes, evidence of bullying is all nicely saved in a cd :)

Then, there came a point when we would always kick and punch each other. I would hit you, you would hit me back, and then, start beating each other up until I cry. Next, it came to the screaming point. We would call each other names during dinner or in the car till mom really got sick of it. We even went for sign language classes hoping we would be less quiet. Did it work? Hmmnn.. don't remember. Just remember the unhealthy but super yummy roadside pisang goreng that we would buy outside ymca. MmmmMmM..... Then there was also a point in time where it was the silent war. We hardly talk, we seldom joke around. Man, it could have been like that till now but somehow, it changed. And I'm glad it did. No more silent wars. Silent wars are the worst. I can't even remember when the silent wars ended but definitely ended when we came to NZ.

I guess coming to NZ actually brought us closer. We had to look out for each other. You had to take care of me when mom and dad weren't here. And, you did a good job!! You're a great chef too! Lemon chicken, cheese chicken and the best cheesecake in the world!! And when I mean best, I really mean it. Of course I also remembered the disaster that you made too! That chicken that you purposely cooked till it's super dry and it became as hard as rock yet we still ate it.

You also took me along to your friends' house whenever there's a pot luck going on or when you just go there and hang out. I can see that you really care and look out for me. Making sure that I'm not alone at home. Making sure I have company. Most people would think that their sister is a hassle to take along with, but you didn't. I really really appreciate it!!!

Also, you've always been a role model to me. You really know how to juggle between studies and sports and now, your tiny lil business. Really looked up to you. I always want to follow your footsteps. Want to be exactly like you. But, I couldn't. Was really sad at that time when I couldn't be like you. Even felt shame of calling myself your sister. Getting 1st in nz, being the dux, being a sports captain, getting scholarships. Gosh!! I couldn't be any of them. But you told me, everyone is different. If I'm like you, then I'm just another clone. You told me I'm good in other aspects, just have to find it. You taught me lots of stuff too. Always try to build up my confidence and believe in myself. Always tell me...."Don't always say cannot. You can do it if you really want to. I know.".... "Pur yourself out there".... "Choose people, don't let people choose you".... "Speak up, don't always hide in the dark".... I haven't master all of these. But I will not give up, I will continue trying.

Koko, my love for you is really undescribable. Man! I don't even know how to show how much I love and appreciate you. You'd always stood up for me and make me feel better. You've done so much for me all these years and I don't know what to give you in return. I guess all I can do is just always stay by your side, continue supporting you. We make the best brother and sister team. wahhahahaa!!!! WE means you and me. Forever and ever!! Thanks koko!!!

I hope you can still enjoy your birthday despite your busy busy schedule. I know it's not a right time and you're not in the celebrating mood but I really do hope you'll still like it. I wish you all the best in your MCC thingy when you go down to Hong Kong. I know you will do awesome because you're my brother :). At the same time, I hope you enjoy yourself over there.

Now that you're 20 and no longer a teenager, please cut down on the tickling. Heeheeeheee....

Lots of love from your sister,
Sher Mayne

My ultra super cool brother!! I dress him up good? Yes? No? Pink tie good? Haha! if he comes back with a win, that pink tie must be it!! wahahaha!!!

I realized getting guy's shirt is damn freaking hard!! Either price not nice or design not nice. But yeaa... I got lucky that day! And it fits him well too! Woohooo! No need to go back and change!
