Anzac Day- a day to remember the brave ones who sacrificed for our nation

Anzac Day= holiday for me.. Yay!!! It's more than a holiday actually... it's a day to remember and honour those who fought and sacrificed themselves during the war in Gallipoli for this country. I remembered during college years, they would play the Last Post during assembly after Anzac Day and remind us the significance of this day. Had friends talking about it, about how their great grandparents/grandparents who were involved in this war, some died, some came back wounded with stories to be passed on. It actually touched my heart.

So on this very day for the fallen....

They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
