Bersatu Games 2009

Pre-Bersatu 2009

4th July
Swan, Ivan and I caught an evening flight to Wellington. Arrived Welly around 6-ish and was picked up my Mr.wiseman and his other half, Darren and Mag. Dinner at a Malaysian restaurant, KK coz.... when you go to Welly, you have to eat Msian food coz there's so many of them!!! Ivan's friend from Otago, Joey came along as well as she's doing her placement in Welly. We all sat down and chat for a very long time and eventually left as we were the last people left in the restaurant. We then went for bubble tea at this place called Lychee. Drinks were so-so but the company was great. Darren and Mag never fail to entertain us. Haha!

The night ended at D&M backpackers. A very cosy place where we watched some TV, chit chat before heading to bed. The owners, D&M were a very nice couple and offered us complimentary 3-in-1 Milo as well.

5th July
Check out time: 10 a.m.
Darren and Mag went for church and we went for breakfast at Wholly Bagels. They had so many types of bagels to choose from I didn't know what to get. In the end I got some cinammon bagels with garlic and herb cream cheese. Yummy but I think I still prefer the original bagels. I didn't want to order original coz I know I can get that anywhere.

At around 11-ish, we were picked up by darren and mag and then it was off to Palmy. Mag had to do some interviews over there and hence we got a free ride up to Palmy. Thanks!!

Whilst Mag was having her interview, we decided to go for lunch. Walked around the mall and didn't feel like having anything. In the end, we ended up at the oh-so famous KFC. The KFC we went last year during our road trip to Palmy as well. Haha!!

Later, Darren dropped us off at Kingsgate Hotel, the place where the players will be staying during the Games. Everyone got a goodie bag, including supporters. Drivers also do get a goodie bag but our driver, mr.tan, was shy to take one. They had so much good stuff in the goodie bag. Powerade, Tim Tams, bags of potato chips, water and indomee!!! Best goodie bag ever man!!!

Darren soon left to pick Mag up as they had to head back to Welly on the very same day. It was great catching up with those two. Guess we'll meet back in Msia the next time eh? Thanks so much once again for being such good hosts!!

Ivan and I were then picked up by his friend, Jasper, who let us stayed at their place during the duration of the Games. I call it JJ & T Backpackers. Haha! Jasper, Joanne and Teresa's Backpackers. These were the people Ivan met during his foundation year in Otago and now they're in Palmy working as pharmacists. It was a really nice place and it was warm too. Had a fireplace and... WII!!! Teeheee :p Now I'm regretting for not taking a photo of the place. So bad with cameras nowadays, just feel lazy takiing it out to snap photos.

Dinner that night was steamboat at home and it was GOOD! Especially in such cold weather, it was awesome and beats going out in the cold and finding food to eat. Another of Ivan's friend joined us for dinner as well, Nai Hau. They were all very nice people and took really good care of us. Jasper even gave us his room and he slept in the living room during the duration of our stay. They fetched us and picked us from the Games venue and always made sure there's food for us. It felt like mama and papa taking care of two lil kids. Haha!

Bersatu Games Palmerston North - This time, it's me writing as a supporter

Day 1 - 6th July 2009
Netball, Badminton and Soccer

Netball
There were less teams this year. It was only CMSA, WMSO, MUMSA and UMSA and hence UMSA got to play with all the teams and it was by points system. It was like these for all the other sports as well. The winning team from each round is awarded 3 points, each time gets a point if it's a draw and loser gets 0.

UMSA got third placing in the end. The standard this year isn't as high as last year with only 4 teams playing. The team consists mostly of new players and it was good to know that they enjoyed the game despite not getting 1st. They had that fighting spirit in them and I bet you, they'll be back next year stronger and better!

Soccer didn't go too far due to an unfortunate event where 4 of UMSA's soccer guys got robbed whilst they were about to leave auckland for Palmy. They ended up putting basketball guys in to play soccer. It was rather hilarious but hey!! better than pulling out right? Hehehe...

As for badminton, women's single and double won the gold easily. I only watched a bit and it seemed like Sharmyn and Hijrah weren't even trying at all. They played as if they were warming up, just hitting the shuttle to the opponent and wait for them to make a mistake. Mixed double grabbed the silver and I think men's single got a gold? not too sure. Lolx!

At night, we ate home again and had leftovers from the night before and char siew. Desssert was fruits with mango ice cream. One of Ivan's high school friend came along as well, who happened to be 1 of the 2 players from Otago. The whole time I was just entertained by listening to them talking. All the jokes they make and all the real life things that happened which happened to be rather hilarious. We wanted to go for go-kart after dinner but it was too late so we ended up buying some wine back home and played Wii.

Day 2 - 7th July 2006
Women's futsal, sepak takraw, basketball, volleyball, tennis

Women's futsal grabbed the gold. The UMSA girls were amazing!!! They lost to WMSO for their first game but I really reckon' it was due to bad ref's call and not following the rules and the goal was counted when it wasn't meant to. They were pushed pretty bad by the opponent and the goalkeeper, Wani, was kicked in the stomach when she have saved the ball. The girls were unhappy at the end of the game. Tried to complain but they say change rules and just gotta leave with it. The girls brushed it off eventually and played well in their other games, scoring goals in every single game after that, proving to WMSO that their goal against UMSA just isn't meant to be and that UMSA is the stronger team. WMSO draw a few of their other games, making UMSA the champions! Wooohoo!! Well done girls!! I have to say this year's futsal's team had way more experience than last year. Last year I remembered we were all newbies and so lost in the game. This year, UMSA had the returning top scorer- Naomi, experienced and skilled Zati who's good in both defence and attack, the fierce Wani with her scary goalie stare, speedy fizah, loud as xin, and trusty defence sharmyn. To see them play was like.. WOW!! I wished I had their skills man....

Tennis
aiyahh!! no fight la tennis.. Swan played like a pro only along with her doubles partner, Sarah and grabbed the gold easily. I watched only one game and knew they'd win it. A few of us were behind talking about bumblebee and she still could concentrate in the game. Haha! I'm pretty sure she heard us, eh swannie? lol!!

Sepak takraw did not win anything but they played well. I didn't get to watch the games but I heard the scores were all very close and they put up a fight for other teams despite none of of them had previous experience of takraw and did not train at all. So funny how during the closing ceremony, the VVIP mentioned about having a cup for sepak takraw like rugby, jeffrey and daniel were so enthusiastic about it and want to train for takraw next year. Go go umsa!!!

Basketball was initially outdoors and it was meant to start at 8 but then got delayed till don't know what time. UMSA only got to play one half of the game outdoor and then it rained. Thankfully it rained and it was moved to the rec centre. Way better coz you can see more skills as they're less afraid of falling down. One thing is, outdoor photos turn out better. Hahaha!! UMSA won every single game of theirs and grabbed the gold finally!! After last year's disappointment, so happy for them!! UMSA have never got a gold for basketball for who knows how many years?

After lunch break, it was volleyball. The standards this year from all teams were pretty much the same. UMSA had to go into 3rd sets for most of their games. Being a spectator, it was already so intensed. I really respect the players who can really maintain their calmness and still played the game so well. The most nail-biting game was the game against MUMSA. Who would have thought MUMSA eh? I still remembered the past few years, they were seen as an easy team. But this year, they were strong. And it's just amazing to see how much they've improved for the past years because most of the players were of familiar faces way back in 1st year. I can't remember who won the first and second set respectively but the third set was just scary!! MUMSA was leading, I think the score was like 10-3 and then UMSA managed to catch up. Eventually, it became 14-13 to MUMSA but UMSA didn't let them get that point. phew!!! In the end, it was Swan's amazing save and Boon's cheeky tipping over of the ball that won UMSA the gold.

It was only then my heart could go back to it's normal rhythm. A job very well done to all the volleyball players who made them game so interesting and won it! I really really respect you guys. I even have my favourite player.. hehehee...my other half!!! Yes, you got that right. Swan played amazingly and she was so steady, calm and collected. Well, from the looks of it la... she might be peeing in her pants then or her hands must be shaking frantically during the game but she did some amazing saves and got the ball over and hardly made any mistakes. I still remembered in first year, both of us decided to learn volleyball together. I obviously still suck at it and will never get good but she on the other hand, have improved so much and is my star player!! You rock babe!!!! Even better than some of the guys in the team man.... Good stuff! i like :)

We got home pretty late that day. It was around 9 when we leaved the venue to head back home. Had indomee and then it was to bed. What an exciting day!!!!

Day 3- 8th July 2009

Handball for the whole day. UMSA had never trained for this and I'm not even sure if there was a team. It was more like... grab a few basketball, volleyball and soccer players, put them in and see how they go. Most of them didn't even know the rules and had to keep on asking the ref. UMSA won CMSA, WMSO and tied with UMNO. UMNO lost to MUMSA and it if UMSA could beat MUMSA, the gold is ours.

But... MUMSA is strong. Again, hands down to them for playing so well. By looking at them playing against other teams, it was very clear that they're the strongest ones and if UMSA wants to win, they have to start coming up with strategies and lock them down. They eventually did and put up a good fight for MUMSA from what I saw. During the super lunch break, the players were all trying to discuss strategies. After lunch, it was the closest game ever with a lost of 1 or 2 points. One of the point wasn't really my cup of tea because the ref blew the whistle, UMSA players stopped and looked at the ref, and MUMSA scores and a point to MUMSA. ohhh well..... still, no hard feelings. To have UMSA putting up a good fight for them was impressive enough. To see how MUMSA have improved over the years, was a privilege. It was just only a point that's unfair but really, they do deserve it.

The day ended early at 3. Ivan and I waited at the mall to be picked up. Had dinner at home again and then decided to go for Transformers. Ivan's friends were supposed to go the night before but tickets were sold out. So 2nd try... we got there... tickets sold out again!!! Unbelievable. In such a small town, with the movie being released quite awhile ago..... hmmnnnn..... so in the end, we went home and watched Fired Up. About two guys going to cheerleading school. Quite hilarious actually.

Day 4- 9th July 2009
Athletics
We got to sleep in a wee bit as it starts at 10am. Massey has a proper running track and it was so cool!! I never got to run on a track before and I really wanted to run just for the sake of being able to compete on a track. Back in Christchurch 2007, it was just on grass!!
The UMSA girls dominated most of their events. Fizah was just too fast for anyone (100m silver, 200m gold). That girl can sprint man! The day before when they were just doing a few runs with guys, she was only like a second behind the guys. So good man!!! And Margaret (400m gold), the kaki ayam 400m runner was just leading all the way. Fuyohhh!!!!!! And i think Wani got a bronze? And who knew... Nay-Oh-Mee can run too!! silver for 200m! I forgotten the results of the relay but the girls won 400m relay gold. I think 100m relay was bronze? They didn't fair too well in that coz one of the girls had a cramp.

As for the guys, the competition was tough. Most of the runners from other teams had spiked shoes and our runners just had normal ordinary running shoes and some wore basketball shoes. Dominic was super fast in his 200m heats but I think he got tired during the finals after running the 100m heats as well. As for Ivan, he got a silver in 100m sprint and was so very very close to getting first. It was actually very hard to tell because my camera angle favoured the other runner. dang!! Should have taken it from his side. but ohh well.. that fella already won so much la.. hahaha! and if he were to wear spiked shoes like other runner, he'd beat them hands down... ekekekkee....For the 400m, we had two basketball players running. joel and ivan sheak. joel managed to grab a bronze in the finals. As for the relays, 100m was bronze i think and did not get any for 400m. almost caught up towards the end but we were very behind from the start.

And so, that was it for athletics. It could have ended earlier and we would have been freezing less if it weren't for the VVIP. Seriously, we had like a super long lunch break just coz we were waiting for the VVIP to arrive coz the VVIP wanted to watch the 100m relay finals and men's 100m finals. ZzZzZzzzz... i guess that's the benefit of being a very very important person... you get people to wait for you.

And again, like last year, we had to rush and get ready for the dinner. The bus dropped us at the hotel, Ivan and I had to grab a cab to go to his friend's house. Showered, change and then it was out of the hosue back to the hotel, hoping we would be able to catch the bus in time. Thankfully, we did. All thanks to Malaysian timing.

The food this time was the best out of the past 4 years. The meat was moist and juicy, the salmon was fresh and tasty (although some people were saying it's not cook? mine was and it was good :p).... and the desserts.... ahhhh!!! Best Bersatu dinner ever in terms of food. But the speech by the VVIP... my oh my!!! Really like grandma story. Performance lacked. Reckon the best entertainment was back in Chch where they had every contingent to perform. But still, a job well done to them as they had musicians and magicians for the dinner performance. And I did enjoy the video MUMSA put up about their journey for Bersatu.. It was so nice to see how much they've improved and to see them grow as a team... in numbers and also in talent. I can still vividly remember my 1st year of Bersatu in Otago which was their first year as well. From a very small contingent 4 years ago, to the biggest contingent this year and even gaining 2nd place, putting up tough competition for every others. Salute!!

As for UMSA, we did fantastic!! Retaining our Champion title for the 2nd year. What's impressive is that the players were mostly first years, all new to the team with high enthusiasm. It shows that UMSA has a great pool of growing talents popping up each year. Best female and male athletes were also dominated by UMSA players, with the female being Fizah, first year in Bersatu. She's full of energy and runs damn freaking fast!! The male being a veteran, my significant other. Hahaha! Am very happy for him as he's been wanting it for years and now he finally got it. Never give up for nothing is impossible. It was so funny how throughout the games he was just counting how many medals he've won and trying to find out who's got more than him. Lolx!! Well done!

And so, that is it for the Bersatu Games 2009. My 4th year, in the eyes of a supporter. Once again, a big congrats to UMSA for being the champion. Keep it up for next year!!! Woot wooot!!!

Finally this post is done!!!

city 2 surf

City 2 Surf - 14km

The world's biggest running event, with a record of 75,000 entrants this year.

From the city to Bondi Beach. Today was my very first time seeing Bondi Beach ever since setting foot in Aussie land.

But I didn't hang around too long. Couldn't find my friends and took me ages to get my bag and was tired so I just caught the bus and to city and then walked back home.

I miss you. Wish you were running along with me today..

It's almost done

Almost Done

I'm still in the midst of finishing up my Bersatu Post. It's almost done. Just need to put pictures in. I'll find time eventually.

First week on Sem 2 isn't as overwhelming as Sem 1. Just haven't been blogging because I'm trying not to fall behind as much but I seem to have already fallen behind a wee bit.

4th aunt arrived yesterday, haven't seen her for 2.5 years. Mum's coming over on Wednesday.

My cousin:"Master Chefs are coming over to cook for us!".
Me: "No need to freeze food for two weeks!"

Trying to pick myself up. Just gotta accept and deal with it. Like I always eventually do :)

Back!

Guess who's back?

I'm back from Welly, Palmy and Ruapehu. Now home in Auckland.

It was a great trip. Bersatu Games this year at Palmy was awesome. Wish I could play but just being there was good enough. MUMSA did an awesome job this year, beats christchurch and wellington hands down!!!

Let's see if I'm hardworking enough to blog about the Games this time. I didn't even finish last year's. I think I'll just skip that :p

Results are out. I PASSED!!!!! That's the best news ever!!!!! Ok, so it's the worst results I ever gotten but at least I Passed!!!! I said it before and I say it again, all I want is a PASS. And now I got it, I am satisfied.

I'd like to say I'll work harder next semester to bring my grades up but I think I've already worked my hardest last semester. Now it's all about working SMARTER!!!!

Yayy!! YAyyy!!! Round 2 here I come!!!!!!!!

end of semester party

EXAMS... DONE

So exams are over and I'm home and have just been really lazy to blog. So anyway, here's about the End of Semester Party by the Physio students. It was THE event that all of us were looking forward to. It was THE thing that made us pull through the past two weeks of hell.

I did not go. I went for the pre drinks at unilodge roof top till 10 and went home.

My story:
Went to Bri's place for pre pre drinks first. Ate heaps of pizza and had wine and champagne. I ate heaps as I was really hungry. Stuffing myself up coz exams are over and I can enjoy my food!!! Drank quite a bit too but I was alright. Then headed to unilodge for pre drinks before heading to the rocks. On my way, I was still hungry so I stopped by McD's for milkshake. My friends said not to have milkshake but I still bought mine coz i was hungry and just had cravings.

Reached unilodge roof top and it was awesome. All the physio students were there. My tummy got a bit weird ... and I was thirsty, so I had some vodka and sprite. Well, I just wanted sprite but my friend poured in some vodka too. Drank that, and was still thirsty. So I just had juice.

And then around 10... when we were all about to head to The Rocks, I went to the bathroom and............. bluekkkkk... TWICE!! lolx!!!

And that's.... my story... I didn't feel well so I went home. My tummy didn't feel good at all.

Ish!!

Moral of the story: When your friends stop you from drinking milkshake when your night just started and you had a few drinks beforehand, LISTEN to them!!!

Well, at least I was there for pre-drinks .. lolx!! and took some photos too!

7 down 2 to go

7 down, 2 to go. 2 more sleeps ...

I think I'm starting to get used to being whacked in the head nearly every single exam. For nearly every exam, I come out, wondering if I can actually pass them. I wonder if I actually done enough. It somehow doesn't feel like it.

After the anatomy exam which was the very first that brought me to tears, I was thinking what am I going to do if I really fail. I was planning to just pack my bags and head home and find something else to do with my life. Just throw the thought of being a physio. Maybe me failing is just an indication that I'm not supposed to be one.

It was good having my brother over here during my mid exam break. He was here for a few days for a job training trip. He said just take a break if I do fail and come back next year. Go travel, still young afterall.

Today I thought to myself and decided.. yeaa.. if I do fail, I'll just come back next year. It'll just take me an extra year to become a physio. If I just pack my bags and go home for good, then I would have given up, which is something I do not do. I am sure it would be the greatest failure in life if I were to give up and I'll regret it for sure.

"There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose"

I'll just go home, find a job, (hopefully i can get one seeing it's recession!!), earn more than 4000 bucks (the cost of one paper) and then come back next year.

Ok fine... exams aren't over, results aren't out yet. Why am I saying this? Why am I thinking of these? In the first place, I'm not gonna fail man!!

This semester is by far the hardest ever in my life and it has drained a lot out of me. Mentally and physically. I don't know how much more it's gonna suck out of me but it's just 2 more days. 2 more!!! Bring it on!!!!

"The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking"

The Climb

The Climb

This song is very good at this time of the year. Not a big fan of her but I think this is pretty good. Thanks Ivan!!

Been hit hard twice this week. One on monday, one today. It came to the point where I had to control my tears on Monday. Never felt like that before.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

4 more to go!

Sleep for now. Had only 2 hours of sleep last night. Mid exam break!!!!

just a lil something

Just a lil something I remembered :p

That Saturday, was the first time we ran 11km after a crazy final week of assignments.

That Sunday, it was when my knees hurt so bad but he walked at my slow pace to the car after library.

That Monday, was when I had my 20% presentation.

That Tuesday night ... 10th of June ... a year ago today... *beep beep*

As he cleared his head, it was those words that reassured me. It was when all the pieces started coming together. My heart paused for a second but then it started beating twice as fast. I slept with a big grin on my face. It was when I realized I had hope. It was when I started to believe...We all deserve to have a lil faith. I might have a shot in this. It was when I DARE TO DREAM ...

because I could see it coming true...

and it eventually did down the road ... :)

Good luck

Good Luck!!

The war begins!! It's that time of the year again. Where chocolate and lollies consumption goes up, where caffeine is part of our daily diet, where energy drink is the best weapon. Where our books become our best friend. Lectures are all over. Now it's all self study. All up to us now.

All the best to all of you who are having exams!! 3 more weeks!! We can do it!!

This is the exams where I seriously just want to pass. I am studying to PASS and that's basically it. And that's stressful enough coz I'm sitting at borderline for most of my papers. High distinctions, distinctions and even credit is out of the question. Just give me a PASS for all and I'll be pretty darn happy. I'll do better next semester.

And last year this time ... it's when I had butterflies in my tummy :p Wish you were here with me to go war.

initially

Initially ...

Monday 15/6: Anatomy 60%
Tuesday 16/6: Neuroscience 70%
Wednesday 17/6: Neurological Physiotherapy 40%
Thursday 18/6: Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy 80%
Monday 22/6: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 1 50%
Wednesday 24/6: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 2 50%

And then somehow, they'll squeeze in 3 practicals in between those days during our empty slots. It is tight but it's reality, I've got 9 exams and there's only 10 days of exams. I have nothing to do but to prepare myself to have exams every single day.

Now ...
Monday 15/6: Anatomy 60%
Tuesday 16/6: Neuroscience 70%, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 2 Prac 30%
Wednesday 17/6: Neurological Physiotherapy 40%
Thursday 18/6: Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy 80%
Monday 22/6: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 1 50%, Neurological Physiotherapy Prac 24%
Tuesday 23/6: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 1 Prac 30%
Wednesday 24/6: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 2 50%

9 exams in 7 days. (Good thing is I get to pack on Thursday and Friday :))

I am still in my dream. Living in denial still thinking that this isn't true and it is a joke to be happening to me.

As much as I wish to say life is sweet and everything is going good, it's not. Everything is just not going right.

On a different note ...
I woke up kinda late this morning, didn't eat breakfast, rushed to pack my lunch and rushed out the house. Reached uni, realized I forgotten to put my lunch in bag, and realized 8am class was cancelled and we start at 9. All the rush for nothing, and my poor sandwich.

Came home to throw my sandwich away because it's tuna and it's been sitting out the whole day so I assumed it'll go bad.

But ...

I can't find my sandwich. It's no where to be found.

Anyone seen my tuna sandwich?

I call this ... one of those ying swan moments.. lol!

Reminder to self

Reminder to self: Just don't think about it too much. If you do, you just become weaker.

Been having doubts. Doubting myself in so many things, so many ways.

Half of me says it's possible. The other half is actually wondering if this is all true.

It almost seems impossible. It almost seems like a dream, a dream that I do not want to wake up from ... because the dream has not ended, because I want to make it real.

Be strong!

4 weeks

4 weeks

I had a pretty good day today eventhough my plan at the library sorta failed and I did not get to study the Basal Ganglia. How disappointing.... NOT!

Went to my friend's tutorial this morning so that I can skip my 3-5 tutorial and head to the library early. But ended up staying back at uni and do some practice on practical stuff for the knee. I think I'm more confident with the knee than the ankle. It's quite scary to think that by the end of this semester, I am expected to be able to treat any ankle, knee, hip problems. Don't even think I can do that!! We won't be going over those anymore next semester nor next year. So don't come to me if you have any of these problems, I'll probably mis-diagnose you. But I have diagnose myself with tight ITB and perhaps ITB friction syndrome. What to do with it? I have no idea. Lolx!

By the time finish practicing and all, it was 3. Headed to city library, was there at 4.30 till 6 and didn't do much. Then went for mamak night. 7 bucks. Roti canai, mee goreng, nasi briyani, curry chicken, kuih, bubur cha cha and satay. It was so good man!! The satay very authentic it really felt like home. Sorry to say this but it defnitely beats UMSA's satay. Haha! And the sauce too!! You know, you do need some fatty chicken in your satay and that is what they had! The roti came with dhall and it tasted just like back home. And any dessert is good!! Ahhh.... satisfied. Eventhough I paid non-members price, I was well fed. My netball friend, kylie, was ex-committee and so she can just keep on getting food. I have no idea how many sticks of satays I had but it was plenty!! Thanks!!

And and... the world is so small because I bumped into another primary school friend, szu huei! I had no idea she was in Sydney Uni and we used to go to malay tuition together during form 1. We were pretty much the loners from primary school who went to DJ as most went to DU and catholic. So yeaa.... it was good catching up with her and we just talked and talked :)

I had a good night once again. I shall bond with basal ganglia and cerebellum tomorrow. Still can't believe I am studying this crap. It's alright. 4 more weeks and then it is bye bye to Neuro for GOOD!!!

Lindt

9 hours of sleep :D

I had 9 hours of sleep last night. It was a very good sleep as it was raining as well. Right outside my window is a zinc roof and so the sound of raindrops on it just makes it so nice to sleep. Am resting today to prepare for the next 5 weeks. I can do this man. I know I can. Gonna go for a run because I've been coughing for over 4 weeks and I think it may be due to the lack of running (lung isn't pushed hard and so the mucus build up? lolx!!), clean my room, organize my notes and catch up on the readings from the last two weeks. It's gna be a relaxing day.

Last night was a relaxing night as well. Went with Su Yi for korean dinner and then this....

Lindt chocolate cafe!

Dark hot chocolate. They give you the melted choc and milk and you mix it to your thickness. So good!!! but I prefer Max Brenner's italian hot chocolate.

Iced mocha

Montreaux: layer of dark chocolate and pecan brownie, caramel chocolate chantilly mousse, marcarpone and vanilla. This is GOOD!! Ying Swan, you have more and more reasons to come here!!!!!!!!

Next chocolate round, Guylian cafe. That will be after the finals. Ekekekeke... I got it all planned out.

Time flies

Time flies ...

My graduation post is finally up. It was 6 good days and it was just good being home. It was just good to take the mind off study for a lil while. 6 days were short. I didn't get to see all the people I wanted to see. I didn't get to spend much time with everyone. But what comforted me was the fact that I'll be back in 7 weeks time! (well, make it 5 weeks now as I'm typing this out). Comments I got was I've lost weight, I looked stressed ... I've aged...but at least the skin colour looks healthy (due to the massive amount of veges i'm having over here :p).

Never knew 10 weeks away from home could do so much to me. Losing weight is no surprise, seeing I am walking at least 4.4km everyday, some days 6.6, some days 8.8km. But what hit me the most was the fact that I looked stressed and aged. Surprised that I looked stressed because I'm on a holiday. How can you look stress when you're happy to be back and on a holiday?? ohh my... please tell me this stressed look is not permanent!!! and aged?? Gladys said i looked older due to the lack of sleep i've been getting. I've never hit 8 hours for a very long time, be it 7 hours. 4-5 is average, 6 hours is sleep in. Can't wait for this semester to be over really. I'll be young again then and get my 8 hours of sleep everyday!!

I didn't have time to blog the past two weeks since I landed because I was forced to study immediately for a test. I had a 40% anatomy test today. The fastest 1 hour of my life! 11 questions, 5 minutes each. Basically we start at 1 question, 5 mins later, we have to move on to the next station to do our next question. It was intense. For a massive 40%, I really wish I pass. 5 mins didn't felt like 5 mins. It felt like... 1 second? Been cramming the past two weeks, libraries and late nights.

Well, at least it's over now. I am resting tonight and blogging before I have to start preparing for the finals which is just around the corner. It is never ending and just keeps coming! But this.. this is the final leg of the race. Finally have reached it. I just want to pass. Prac exams results were out, nothing impressive, a wee bit disappointed but at least I passed all and that's what matters most.

Basically...
2 more weeks of lectures.
1 week of study break.
2 weeks of exams

And then HOME.

Told you time flies!

post week 8 prac exams brain cleanse

Post Week 8 Prac Exams Brain Cleanse

After weeks of studying and tearing our brains out, after a week of mid-term exams with one everyday, after a week of sleeping only an average of 5 hours a night ... it was time to CELEBRATE!! (before the craziness begins again next week)

It was THE BEST NIGHT EVER so far in Aussie land, and probably the best clubbing experience I ever had.

Music was just super awesome you wouldn't believe what music they played. The GEM's Physio students went wild at Lowenbrau at the Rocks. It was the German restaurant I went to few weeks ago and they have a bar on the top. I didn't drink much. Just a shot and half a litre of mango beer. Drinks were expensive but music was just awesome!!

They played backstreet boys, spice girls, vengaboys, sclub 7, westlife songs!! OMG!!!!! All those songs you can sing too when you were in your teenage years (can't believe i'm not a teenager anymore.. *sigh*) and you would sing it and dance around in the bedroom to those songs. Now you have the chance to sing to those songs and dance it out in a bar!!!!! It was super super awesome!! Nearly everyone knew the lyrics to all those songs. They played some ABBA songs as well, Shania Twain, some older JT songs. But yea.. they also played some new songs too. OMG!! Swannie, they played the "pocahontas song" too!!! 500 miles!!!!! That was amazing! ohh ohh!! and they had ICE ICE BABY too!! wahahahahaha!!! brought back lots of memories man.. haha!! And i've got coursemates who can actually rap the lyrics to the ICE ICE BABY song! impressive!!

But I gotta say, THE best song of the night for us physio students is Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi (reminded me of guitar hero too!!). We were all just jumping and screaming to the lyrics of the song. It was so us.

"She says we've got to hold on to what we've got
cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not
We've got each other and that's a lot
For love - we'll give it a shot"

- yea.. we've got each other. We are all helping each other out to go through this and that's the most important thing. No matter how much crap is being thrown at us, we'll give it a shot no matter what.

"Whooah, we're half way there
Whooah! Livin on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it I swear
Whooah! Livin on a prayer"

- We are half way there. We are half way through the semester. That night was basically celebrating the end of mid-terms and that we're halfway through this semester!!!

"We've got to hold on ready or not
You live for the fight when it's all that you've got"

- Weeks after weeks. We are never 100% ready. There is just too much to prepare and hence we're always up for surprises but yet, we're still holding on, hanging in there. We'll fight it through to chase our dreams.

It was really an awesome night. I have never been to a bar that plays good songs after good songs (guess it's coz i don't go clubbing much :p). Songs which I can scream the lyrics to! What a good way to celebrate. I left rather early tho as I was getting sleepy. There were a couple of times I wanted to leave but the good songs kept on playing so I stayed a lil longer coz I just love them! Came one point it was a song I was unfamiliar with and so I decided to leave before a good song comes on. As I was walking out, Dancing Queen came on!! OMG!!!! I was so tempted to run back in but nah... I left. And thank goodness I did because my friends told me they were playing more and more good songs after that. It was never ending!!!!

All in all, a great night out. I think half of the bar was filled with us physio students. Some 2nd yrs came to celebrate with us as well. lolx! The brain cleanse for post finals is defnitely going to be even more crazy!! We'll be sitting for 9 exams in 10 days for the finals. So yeaa... more stress needs to be released then!!

It's gonna feel so good tomorrow when I'm done I tell you. I have never ever prepare for mid-terms that early. I usually study for mid terms one or two days before it. Haha! Turning into a nerd...

I am sitting here now procrastinating. Quite worried for tomorrow's prac actually but I really just wanna get it done. Not gonna do anything tomorrow after my prac. Won't touch any books on Fri and Sat.

Tomorrow night gonna go out and a few of my canadian friends said they plan to get drunk. wahahahahaa!! get to see some drunk ppl, looking forward to that. Gonna be hilarious!!

so smart

My day

I woke up at 6.30 this morning and planned to go to the city library to do some cramming before my neuroscience exams in the afternoon as I study better in the library. Walked half an hour to the train station, and realized I didn't bring my wallet. I then remembered I put it in my shoe bag last night as I was walking home because it was rather late and I didn't want someone to steal my wallet from behind in my backpack. So smart right? And now, I forgotten to bring it. Well, at least it's better than not bringing the house key and get locked outside. That would suck big time. I always fear not bringing the house key out and that's why it never came to my mind to check for the wallet before I leave the house. I only made sure I bring the key.

So anyway.... I walked back. Decided to just study at home because I don't want to waste my time walking back out again. This is the bad thing of not having a car. Cousin came back from work and she said she can drop me off at the train station as she is going to meet a friend for lunch. Sweet!! I save time walking. This time, I made sure I bring my wallet, made sure my train ticket is in there, made sure I have my student ID for the exam.

Sat for the exam at 3, came out feeling crap and lost and kinda pissed off because I have not studied so hard for a midterm before and yet I still come out not knowing how to do more than half of it.

I cleared it off my head by going grocery shopping as I was on my way back. Bought maggi mee because I haven't had it for ages and needed something to cheer me up. So excited to get home and cook my maggi mee with egg!!! Besides, the weather is getting cold, it was drizzling and something warm would be good!!

I walked home as fast as I can as the tummy was making noises because it was not fed lunch. Got home, digged my bag, and .... I left my key in my room!

So I sat outside, stared at that pack of maggi mee, freeze my arse off ... and waited for half an hour for my cousin to get home.

So smart right?

it's only mid-terms

It's only mid-terms

It's only the mid-terms and I feel like I'm pretty stressed out. The past week, the max I get is 5.5 hours of sleep. The other night, I stayed up till 4. I studied till 3 and just couldn't sleep till 4. Was just flipping through my notes, biting my nails and just so nervous.

Right now, I have come to the point where it's like... man! I just want Friday to be over and done with. I still have a lot I do not know, and the more I study, the more I realized I don't know heaps and the more I start to panic. Screw Neuroscience! Seriously, I do not know why we're taking it. Arghhh arghhh!!!!

I try to tell myself not to worry, it's only mid-terms. If I fail, I still have the finals to make it up. But I do not know why in the world I'm still so stressed out. Where's the ignorance-is-bliss sher mayne?? Aikzzzzz!!! Need to go and find her!

On a brighter note, I was procrastinating last night for awhile and decided to drop leighton and mel an email and see what they were up to. Everytime I study, I always remember them because they were the ones that made me pull it through my undergrad years. I got a reply this afternoon and it just made me smile. Just knowing they're doing well, wishing me all the best, cracked up some old jokes and knowing that I'll be seeing them during graduation. Ahhh! I just love mails like that in my inbox because my inbox is usually now filled up with titles like this ... "week xx reading list", "pracs practice get together?", "splitting muscle charts", "independent study or group study this wknd?", "reading summary from so and so article/textbook" .... I am glad I have a group of study friends over here where we help each other out to lighten the burden. I am very thankful for that but yeaa.... sometimes i just need something in the email that is not study related. And that email today made my day. I really needed it to just get my mind away from study for awhile. Felt so much better after that.

and oh! plus ying swan's text on her lil drama with her assignment. wahahahaha!! it sounds so you la! lolxx!!! that made me smile too although it wasn't really a good thing but still.. haha!!!

I can do this. I'm almost 1/8th there!! Wahahahahhaa!!

And netball tomorrow! yeaaaa... couldn't say no to that. I was meant to study but I really need to clear my head. I'll study in the morning :p

i guess i never learnt

I guess I never learnt .. The past haunts me...

I tried to alter my navy pants this morning. Figured I should do it before the prac exams next week and saved some money by doing it myself instead of taking it to a shop and alter it. Mind you, I have not alter a pants before. There's always mummy or kakak to do it. I only know how to sew buttons and seal off ripped pants/shirts.

So.. the alteration begins...

Halfway through, I realized .... I did the same mistakes I did when I was 13. Basically, I threaded in a wee bit too deep and went over to the other side and sealed off the pants and can't put my legs through it!!!!! Ahhhhh!! How smart. When I was 13, we had to sew designs on a bag during KH. My design was pretty good. But one thing was .... I couldn't open the bag after that because I went over to the other side and sealed the opening.

8 years down the road.... and I never learnt.

I was taking ages to alter the pants and it just pissed me off as I had to do it all over again. Had to cut the thread, pull off the tiny bits away and started all over. I took a long time just to open the sealed pants. *sigh*

Then I started again and this time checking every so often that I did not thread through too deep. Took me over 2 hours just to alter the pants. Ran out of black thread so basically it's not fully sewed. But as long as it holds up, it's all good.

I ironed it and tried it on.

And now... I realized... it's still a wee bit too long and dragging on the floor ... *sighs*

No, i'm not going to redo it AGAIN. I'll just leave it as it is. Maybe this summer I might redo it for next year when I do go out for placements and have to wear it everyday. Or then again, maybe I'll just bring it home and ask mum to do it for me this winter :p Haha!!

So much for saving money on alteration eh?

Thread and needles just don't go well with me :p

jaw hurts

Before I slept last night, I thought I was going to wake up and feel better the next morning. I thought I was going to recover.

I woke up this morning... Nose is less blocked, sore throat is gone ...

But my jaw hurts like hell. I can't close my mouth properly. I can't clench the left side of my jaw. The bottom and top row just won't go together.

It hurts so bad and it has been hurting the whole day and it is not going away. Cousin said it's TMJ and she said maybe I grind my teeth when I sleep or could be due to too much chewing. Gave me some painkillers and said the pain will be there for a few days.

The painkillers is not really working. I haven't got this before. I just hope it's nothing serious and not due to my flu. I need to talk to her again tonight. Because seriously, this is freaking me out.

Some break huh?

easter!

Yayy!!!

It's the holidays!! One week break. Same like last yr. One week only. If only there's 2 weeks.

At the start of this week, I told myself I'm gna pull out two late nights and study because after that I get to rest. Monday night and Tuesday night that is. Monday night: 3.5 hours of sleep. Tuesday: 4 hours.

And.... come Wednesday ... I fell sick. So smart right? (sharing the same fate as my swannie. haha! what can i say.. truly my other half...)

Ohh what a thing to start my holiday. There goes my supposedly Rest and Relax day at the beach. Now I'm stuck at home resting and slowly recovering. Wasted my two REST days just like that.

The studying starts tomorrow. 5 practical exams and 1 written exam in week 8, i.e. one week after the break.

And week 9... we all know where I'll be in Week 9. H-O-M-E!!

Woootttt!!!!!
Happy Easter Everybody!

Coromandel Fishing trip

Alright, I know I know.. I'm on a blogging frenzy now. I really do apologize for my lengthy posts for the past two weeks. It'll stop soon. I just want to blog everything out now before it gets busier. so here.. I present you the fishing trip of my summer on my last week here in auckland.

February 13-15: Coromandel fishing trip

The long awaited, much anticipated trip finally arrived!! It was organized by mamasan Audrey and Bronson and the trip was simply amazing.

Friday, February 13
Ken, along with Yean and Hensen (and who could forget, Dorito the dog) came and pick Ivan and I up at 6 in the morning. Had a pretty late night the night before as I slept at 3 doing last minute packing. I thought I set my alarm but it didn't ring. Woke up 10 mins before 6 and was rushing like mad. Brushed teeth, changed and it was out the door. Just in time. Phew!!!

First stop: The famous BP along the motorway to Hamilton. Where we met up the other two cars. Team Magnus consisting of him, Liyang, Swannie and Ash Li, Team Bronson: Him, Mamasan, Claire the dog and Kel Vin. Everyone looked pretty sleepy. Well, not surprised as it was 6.30 in the morning! Not many of us had much sleep the night before. The drivers got their coffee, some got their breakie and thenn.. the journey begins.

I was sleeping most of the way and my hands were kept warm by Dorito. Haha! Reached the bach at coromandel at 10. We unloaded, changed and then.. it was off to the beach! It was very sunny but the water was super cold. I slipped, slopped and slapped but obviously, did not wrap. Liyang and bronson were the first to go in and they were both like.. it's not cold, it's not cold. You'll get use to it very quickly. Not cold my ass!!! I got in and it was icy cold!! And it did not get better for a very very.. VERY long time. Crazy man!!

Hung out at the beach, played monkey in the water, played soccer (girls vs guys.. can't remember who won), played touch ... and then.. camwhored at the end. Those photos... are classic!!!!

Around 12-1-ish, we headed back to the bach to prepare for the mussel barge. Ivan and I set up our tent first when we got back. Yes, I was so excited to finally use my tent. Was waiting and waiting for an opportunity to use it and am glad I can use it for this trip! I knew there will be a use to it one day!!!

I bought it during Boxing Day for HALF price at Rebel's sport. It was originally $150. So yeaa.. Very cheap and good deal. It's a 4 person tent ... so very worth it. I've been wanting a tent ever since I went to Tauranga with my sportsci friends and stayed in a tent. The amount you save from accommodation is just too good to resist!

So after the tent set up, Fishing for Dummies began, where Bronson thought us how to put on our bait and hook. As you can see, everyone was so into it.

Well, mostly everyone :p

Once that was done, the trip to the mussel barge was well on its way! It was super windy on the boat and the water kept on splashing us. It got super cold and I was only wearing a shirt and a not-very-thick jacket with shorts.

Once we got to the spot, the fishing begun!! Everyone grabbed their rod and started fishing for snappers. That was what we were all aiming for. The more we catch, the more worth it our 50 bucks is. All in all, I caught 3 snappers. Well, 3 that were able to be taken. the rest were too small... *sigh*.... caught other fishes as well but i don't know what they are. It was good as everyone caught at least a fish and all in all.. we caught.. A LOT!! It was full of excitement everytime someone gets a fish and a wee disappointment when they were too small. And as it gets later and less fishes seemed to be caught, the excitement died down. It was more like... it's freaking cold and I just wanna go home and sleep for me. so tired that day.

just look at bronson's face. still so enthusiastic about it even on the way home.. and audrey's face is like.. Bahhhhh! Hahahaha!!

When we got back ... first thing I saw... the tent was blown down to the ground. *sigh* had to set it up again while the guys were cleaning the fishes and the girls prepared dinner. Once we set up the tent and crossed our fingers it won't get blown down again, Ivan and I were in charge of the BBQ-ing. Kel vin brought heaps of meat for the trip. Marinated lamb, beef, chicken. I had steak but it wasn't marinated long enough. Apart from those red meat... there were obviously.. the fishes!!! Grilled some of the fishes on the BBQ pit while mamasan was busy steaming the snappers.

thumbs up from swannie = good stuff!

Dinner was served and everyone just digged in. Good stuff!! Fish was so fresh it tasted SO GOOD! Nothing beats freshly caught fish. I'm not a huge fan of fishes but when it's fresh, it's gold!! Good dinner man.

After dinner and after washing up, there's a wee bit of chit chat and then it was off to bed. Everyone was pretty much knackered from the lack of sleep, early morning, craziness at the beach, excitement from the mussel barge and a satisfied tummy from the dinner. It calls for a good night's sleep. Everyone headed to their beds to dreamland and Ivan and I headed to our tent.

The wind was strong and it started raining as I headed into the tent. Was so afraid the tent might collapse on us the next morning we wake up but was too tired to even bother doing anything. Dropped dead once I hit my sleeping bag. Haflway throughout the night, the top part of the tent was shaking rather violently as the wind was so strong and it felt like the pegs were gonna get pulled out the ground and the tent will just fall on us. I think I was being so paranoid. I stuck my hands on the "wall" of the tent from then on, hoping that my lil hands can keep the tent up.

Feb 14, Saturday
Next morning, I got up and the tent was still up. Phew! It was still raining and still windy. Texted swan and asked if everyone was awake before going in.

Had breakfast and then prepare for our next adventure. We were meant to go for a boat trip for rock fishing but because of the terrible weather, we decided against it and opted for the Driving Creek Potteries and Railway. It was "Nz's only narrow-gauge mountain railway along with a working pottery and wild life sanctuary". Just quoting the website.. this was what it was:

"The 1 hour return trip on our innovatively designed trains takes you through replanted native kauri forest and includes 2 spirals, 3 short tunnels, 5 reversing points and several large viaducts as it climbs up to the mountain-top terminus.

do we look alike?

Called the Eyefull Tower, this handsome new building offers great panoramic views out over the island-studded Hauraki Gulf with the forested valley and mountains behind."

Guys

Girls

Once that was done, we dropped by at Coromandel town to get some groceries for dinner at night. Audrey, Bronson, Magnus, Ken, Kel Vin and Ash Li went to the fishing shop to get more gear and raincoat as they were still going rock fishing no matter what. I would have gone if I had more spare clothes (didn't pack enough) and not tired.

hardcore!!

We got back to the bach, the team of 6 got ready and went off for fishing adventure number 2 while the rest of us lazed around and I eventually headed to the tent and fell asleep. We were told to shower and cook before they got back from their fishing. At 4, we heard noise and Bronson was calling us. I was still in dreamland ... walked out... he was talking and all so excited but i had no idea what he said.. all i heard was "kayak" and audrey saying "why u wake them up?" ... and then.. i walked back to the tent and.. slept again. Haha!

Dinner time and yingswan apparently texted my phone to ask if we should start cooking but i did not hear anything. I think an hour later, I got up and she already did the chicken and all i had to do was the instant mi goreng. Dinner once again was good. There was fish but I was kinda sick of fish already. Apart from our chicken and mi goreng, there was steam fish, fried fish, wan tan mee, somemore chicken, and and.... awesome nachos with some sauce and cheese (by magnus) which was.. the best thing ever!! So yumm mann.. if only there was more.... Good stuff!

and it starts......

After dinner.... the night begun!! Yean made wicked jello shots! Yummy but... woah.. the vodka was strong. The drinks were all laid out on the table, with audrey wanting to get swan and i drunk. We played quite a few games and i can't even remember their names. One of the game, it was some counting game and we have to stand up and sit down and I was so blur in that game and had no idea what was going on. Till now, I still don't know how that game worked. All i knew was that the other team was pretty out of it and made a lot of mistakes. Haha! There's the 007 bang game which progressed to vikings and boats and then somehow, music bands of drums, and guitar....it was just hilarious!!!

And at the end of the night, i think the only two sober people was ... not surprisingly... swan and I. Audrey and Kel Vin were sleeping comfortably on the couch. Liyang was dancing the macarena in front of the tv and then showing Ken magic tricks, magnus was somehow trying to create peace with Dorito and Claire, Ash Li was already in drunken dreamland ... and I had no idea wehre Yean went. I remembered she was being squashed by Bronson and that was it. Ivan was playing 21 with me and Bronson joined in which resulted into drinking again and we dragged Swan in too hoping to get her more tipsy... but yea.. it ended up with Bronson, Ivan and Hensen hugging each other, laughing/wrestling/god-knows what .... and yeaa.... swan and i were just staring at them and laughing at how funny bronson was. Hahaha!!! And Ivan was in happy land too with him smiling but can barely open his eyes. We both took videos of everyone and just enjoyed ourselves laughing. Doubt you can ever get both of us drunk! we just too smart la for those games.. HAHAHAHA!!!!

the most decent pics out of the rest.. i just had to put one up la.. haha! the others are worst....

Sorry but videos are only for the eyes of those that went for the fishing trip. I actually don't mind sharing it but.... others would! hahahaha!!

Feb 15, Sunday
Next morning, we basically had breakfast, packed up and then headed home. And yea... remember how I said we caught a LOT of fishes? Well, after two nights of eating fishes, we still had more fish to take home!! haha!

And ohhh.. my tent did not fail me at all. It only collapsed one time during the first time of setting it up and that was probably due to poor setting up. But yea... after that, it was standing strong for two whole nights. Who wants to go camping with me next summer? Wahahaha! loving the tent!

All in all, it was a very memorable three days of fun and huge thanks to Audrey and Bronson who organized the whole thing and to everyone else in the trip who just made it so unforgettable and awesome!! I want another fishing trip!!!

Once again, Coromandel did not fail to impress me. I fell in love with Coromandel the very first time my parents brought me there way back in 2003 where we visited cathedral cove. Last year feb 2008, went there for pinnacles walk and got blown away by its beauty, along with cathedral cove and hot water beach. In november 2008, went for the kauri run which was a great accomplishment, stayed on a farm and visited cathedral cove for the 3rd time and hot water beach for the 2nd time. This year, feb 2009, coromandel showed me another part of it which was fishing! You see, it has never failed on me! And no, I'm not sick of it yet. I am yearning for another Pinnacles walk. Next year perhaps? Any takers? Hehehehe.....

overwhelmed... again

Overwhelmed... again

Week after week, this course never failed to overwhelm me. Well, last week wasn't too bad. I thought I was getting used to what they've been throwing at us. Always tired and brain dead but I was getting used to that. I thought I was starting to be ignorant on the workload and just live in my own world... Well, maybe it was the pubcrawl that made me forget everything and worry-free :p But this week... it started all over again!!! It always has to happen on hell-wednesday. It was the worst Wednesday ever since the first Wednesday of the term. It did not help with me starting the day with being all drenched and soaked for the whole 10 hours at uni, especially my foot in wet socks. April fools day and the jokes on me. Mother nature's prank. Damnn it!!

Had a pre-test on anatomy and was studying till 3 in the morning for it. In the end, also don't know how to do. *sigh* I have A LOT to learn!! So tired during lunch time and was nodding my head off during the 2 hrs neuroanatomy. I seriously tried to keep myself awake but I find myself dozing off every single time. It's like I write a few alphabets of a word and then start scribling off. After a second or two, I'll wake up, turn over to my friend's notes and write some words down and then I start scribling again! It's like my brain and my hands can't synchronize at all.

Following that, had a neuroanatomy tutorial and was unexpectedly given a quiz. No marks but yeaa... couldn't even answer a single question. Everyone just started giggling when we were given the quiz. No one knew how to answer and the tutor was asking us to at least write one word for each question. It came to a point where the tutor said... ok, at least underline the words in the question that you think is important. Hah! that ... I could do. I underlined everything :p

Ahhhh!!! When? When will all these surprises stop? When will the feeling of being overwhelmed be like a once in a blue moon thing and not like a weekly thing? Rawrrr!!!

On a brighter note ... At least most people are feeling what I'm feeling too :p I'm not alone. Haha! Evil evil....

And and... someone found a way to get free photocopy. No free printing still but free photocopy. Heeheee... catching the bus more often now!

And and.... I enjoyed my three hours of netball last sunday. They were actually training since the beginning of March for inter-uni games this Saturday and I joined in last minute. Got a sore body the next day. I'll be playing this Saturday as well. 8am start :D Looking forward to it! Woohooo!!
