off i go to christchurch

In 17 hours time, I will be boarding that plane and off to freezing christchurch, south island.

Have I told you how excited I am? I'm super uber excited!!! Maybe I won't be able to sleep tonight!! Lalalalalalalalalala!

27-30th June: Lazed around Christchurch, see the city
1-4 July: Bersatu Games
5-9 July: Travelling with a group of 14 ppl!!!!!!
2 weeks!! I wonder how long I will take to blog about every single day. Last year's bersatu trip took me months!!!! Hahahaha!!!!

So looking forward to the Games. Tomorrow will be the very last training before we fly off. Having athletics in the morning. Today had a Touch friendly with Petunia. Man!! so tiring! Those people can run fast!!! Plus we didn't have any subs at all. As Daniel said, treat it as a fitness training. Haha!!

At night, it was our last netball training. Netball girls VS Volleyball guys as they wanted their revenge. They got it alright!! RaWrRrRR!! But it's all good. Lose in Auckland but don't lose in Christchurch!!

All the best to the UMSA tribe!!! We can do it!!! And to sharvin who twisted his ankle, get well soon! We will all be praying for you. And few days ago... i was celebrating my ankle injury anniversary.... wahlauuuu...... Why is UMSA also having injuries? Let us all hope that this time when we go down for the Games, we are not the contingent who have the most injuries during the Games!!!! Lol!!

And now, I shall leave you with pictures of my awesome Bersatu shirt designed by the talented uncle Darren!!!

WoooooTtTT!! Once again, we UMSA ppl are gna look freaking good!! wahahahahaha!! Loving last year's and this year's bersatu shirt!!!

And off I go now! Time to sleep. Wont be blogging for the next two weeks. Dont miss me!!!

mcgill

On Friday night, I was telling Swan how much I really wish to go to Canada. I've been telling her that the same thing for the past 2 weeks or so. I was already giving up, more like, gave up. But she kept on saying not to give up till they confirm it. Vanessa said I'll sure get it. But to me, I gave up coz I have the tendency to get disappointed and I know some people who already got their admission letters way earlier than me and the 15th of June has already passed. Swan still kept my hope up, hence I was still constantly logging into my webmail, hoping to see an acceptance letter or a rejection letter.

In the midst of chatting with her and blogging about my ankle anniversary, I decided to check my mail once again eventhough I've already checked it three times that day. To my surprise.......

WeeEeEeeEEE!!! I got accepted!!! I got accepted!!! My wish came true!!!! Told yingswan then ran up and told mummy. Heeheee... now I can definitely go buy thermals from Kathmandu and a jacket!!! I wanted to get them for my trip to christchurch but mum said I've got enough thermals (3 only lerr.. i want more!!) but now.... heehee! I would need the thermals for Canada, it's gonna be freezing over there and I'll be going to Montreal, even colder!

Ahh!! So happy. No need to go for skit practices in semester two. Wahahahahaha! To those who kept on saying Canada do not want me .........."Canada wants me baby!!!!!" Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Thanks to those who told me not to give up yet and wishing for me to get it.

Special thanks to Henry who helped me submitted my forms when I was still back in Malaysia. Who had to line up for quite some time just to hand the forms in and get them signed. Thank you thank you! oONri, I owe you lunch!!!!

McGill, here I come!!

The semester starts on the 6th of September over there. Meaning I am having a long holiday! Will probably fly off sometime mid august. Right now, I have to make sure I don't miss any deadlines. Need to find accommodation, apply visa, enrol for my papers and enrol for some french classes over here. So yea.. not really of a long holiday for me, still got heaps to do!! OooOo!! So excited! Now I will finally get to feel how it's like staying away from home, I get to be an international student (but still paying the fees over here :D heeheee)!!!!

And if you're just wondering why McGill? Why to a place where it's freaking cold and where the locals speaks french? It's because it's the few universities that have my sportscience papers which I can transfer the credits. Had a hard time finding a suitable university. Ohh wellzz.... guess who's gonna be having a white christmas this year? Heeheee =D And according to my bro, all I have to do is pass over there and get the credits. The grades don't matter. No need to worry about GPA scores. It won't be counted. Weeeeee!!

Now, I get to RUN!!

anniversary of ankle sprain

Today during marketing team meeting, I suddenly burst out... "OoOoo!! Today's the anniversary....."... before I even finished my sentence, yean and rayvin's eyes were wide open, wondering who the secret bf i've been hiding all along.. lolx!! Then I finished up my sentence with ".... of me spraining my ankle!!"... and then they let out a big sigh... lolx!!!

Yes yes, last year,
22nd june, it was the very first time I ever injured myself so badly. Went into depressed mode. All you that read my blog last yr knew exactly how I felt. Shitty! Damnn shitty.... Wasn't allowed to play sports for 3 months (but I still played anyway...shhh!!parents still dno i played in bersatu!!! no wonder my ankle still a bit bengkak now). Broke some blood vessels, tore my anterior talofibular ligament.... And yes, it was just before bersatu games. Thanks to accupuncture that allowed me to walk.... tho the accupunturist did say I'm not allowed to play sports coz it won't be completely healed. Which is true, it ain't completely healed but I'm walking and running fine now after a year. Heeheee... so yea.. Happy Anniversary to Shermayne's currently healthy ankle!!! WooOoOoTtT!!!! Just thinking about it now makes me feel so lucky I'm all good for this bersatu games! Gna enjoy and go all out to the fullest!!! Woohoo!!! Right now, must take extreme care!!! Don't get myself injured for the next few days.

Bersatu Games is in a week's time. So looking forward to it! Had so much fun last year and I'm sure this year is gonna be way better! New memories shall arise, new friendship are gna be made. Gna be freezing our arses off in the cold since netball, touch and athletics are all outdoors but it's definitely going to be a good experience. Definitely a Survivor game but UMSA TRIBE all the way!!

I shall end this post with a link.. a link to one of gjin's post that i found very motivational and inspiring....heeheeheee :D

Click on the sizzling hot Gjin (teeheee :p) to read the post. 2006 Most Sporting Woman for the Bersatu Games wei!! Don't play play!!

By the way... my wish came true :D Guess guess what it is!! No price to the person who guess it right tho. lolx!

*hint: I owe some ppl lunch :D

exams are over, a huge relief

WooHooOoo!! Merdeka!! Merdeka! Merdeka!!!! Exams are over! Well, it was over on Tuesday but I didn't really had the time to sit down and blog. Didn't feel like it.

Biomechanics on Monday was possibly, most likely, definitely, 100% the best exam I ever sat. That 13.5 hours at Level 0 on Sunday did pay off. Went in there and in the 10 minutes reading time, I answered all 30 multi choice questions in my head. Why? Coz on Sunday we were doing 240 multi choice questions. It was a pain I tell you, to go through 240 of them when you're tired and hungry. But yea.. it paid off!!! D-rizzle is the man!! The short answers were exactly the same as last year except he changed the numbers and units. I did all 6 till I realized we only need to do 4. So I spent some time thinking which two to cancel out. The inverse dynamics kept me smiling all the way. Was frustrated over it before Sunday but thank goodness I got it sussed out. A grade in my pocket baby!! Heeheee.. yes, I am that confident for this paper. For most people, it was their last paper hence they were jumping for joy. They ended with a nice paper. As for me, I still had stats the next day. Gosh it was hard to even start on stats after the joy from coming out of biomechanics. I know stats would be another easy A to get but because I was overjoyed, hence I couldn't really study stats as my mind wasn't on it. I'm easily satisfied =D

Tuesday, stats didn't go too well. It was expected judging by how much study I did on Monday evening and also throughout the semester. Ohhh wellzzz.... should have aim higher but that's over. Bring on the holz baby!! Went shopping after that with swan and vanessa. Had a good laugh. Vanessa and her pink everything!!

Wednesday it was sleep in day. Woke up at 12.30pm. 13 plus hours of sleep. It was a good long sleep since I hv been sleeping 4 hrs ave a night for the past dno how many weeks. Didn't do much, was meant to clean my room but failed.

Thursday i.e. today, woke up at 10. Good weather. Slightly windy, cloudy but there's sun and it wasn't raining. Went for a run to the beach and then to the school. Bunch of macleans kids were having pe and they were doing their 3k run so I joined them. Lolx! Fun! hehehehe...but yeaa.... can feel that my stamina has gone down. Fitness level sux!!

Let's see if I'll wake up tomorrow morning and go for my morning jog. I doubt it! Need to dye mum's hair tomorrow then go to city for two meetings. Meeting with umno and petunia sports officers to discuss about the performance, and then marketing team meeting for the Ball. I want to go to Canada!!!!! Heeheee... not all hope is gone yet. I'm not officially rejected yet. Auck uni told me not to give up hope yet. Lolxx!! Praying and praying and waiting. Cepat lah!!! I want to get rid of this anxiety in me. Just tell me whether I'm rejected or accepted. What's so hard? Why still have to consider meh? Either you want me or don't want me ma... After that, it will be time for some sports! WoOoOoOTtT!! After so long!!! Finally!!! Can't wait can't wait! The sports craze begins tmrw till I fly off!! Wahahahahahaha!! So excited!!!

However, I have to make time for family. Bro' gf is arriving tmrw, she's gna be here for 3 weeks!! Dad's arriving on Saturday. Ahhh!!! Definitely have to make some family time. I wrote up my timetable and realized Sunday night will be the last night I'm having dinner with them till I fly off. Maybe I shall skip the potluck on Monday and have dinner with them instead. Priority, priority. Am still learning to get my priorities right. The potluck seems oh-so tempting but..... family. Family comes first, right?

Ok, now time for some Greys! Gna watch the episode for next week and the week after that coz I won't be able to watch it on TV when I'm down at Christchurch. Wakakaka... So when I come back, I'm right on track!!! Weeeeee!! The joy of having no exams is just awesome, don't you reckon'?

happy fathers day

Family comes first. That's what daddy told me all these while. That's what he has always been doing.

I gotta admit, I actually forgotten that today's father's day in Msia. It's quite annoying how father's day isn't the same as mother's day where it falls on the same day in all the countries. Father's day in NZ is celebrated in September. I guess my dad deserves to have two father's day a year because he is of a great man, who deserves to be pampered twice a year. Wahahahahhaa!!!! But right now, he's in Msia. Hehehe... so yea... sent him an email today, like right before this after coming back from uni.

Spent 13.5 hours there today. Exams sux!! It makes me forget dates. Man! Didn't even realize this is the third sunday of June until I came home and looked at my calendar. *sigh* Two more papers to go!! Biomechanics tomorrow. Today was madness again. It's like dejavu. Last sunday was madness, today madness again. Filled with laughter and a footlong subway chicken fillet like last week as well. Along with an apple and Tab Energy drink to keep me going throughout the day. Biomechanics. I'm sitting at 66% out of 70% right now. Exam's worth 30%. So you see how close am I in getting an A? Hence the crazy study session today. It all comes down to how much you want it eh? Can see I'm desperate to get an A. Getting A's for me are so rare so if I see the chance, I'm gonna go for it. Can't let this slip pass me. I'd be disappointed.
Alright, time to sleep. Tomorrow is the day, the day where I'll be able to do my inverse dynamics questions and other kinetics shitzzzzz and those marks will just come right into my pocket, thank you very much! Pooff!!! *fingers cross* I feel like I'm ready for it but you never know what shit D-rizzle will throw in!! (D-rizzle = nickname for Drew, my biomechanics lecturer! He's one cool dude hence the cool nickname we give him!)

Happy Daddy's Day!!

peeekaaaboo!!! This is one of the examples of how cool my dad is. A funny man indeed. Dinner time with him is always filled with laughter. Always coming up with lame reasonings and facts too! Now you know where the lameness in me comes from, eh? Heeeheee..Thanks papa!!!

no mcgill

Exams..... when you're not studying, you just start to think. Think of many many things. And then many many thoughts will just lead you to blogging.

Another disappointment coming along my way ... *sigh* I can feel it. I always have a high tendency in getting disappointed. Everyday, I check my mail. Hoping to get a reply. But so far, nothing, nil, zilch! Now just waiting for that mail to confirm my disappointment. Ohhh wellzzz.... at least I tried. At first, I was half-hearted but as it gets closer, I really really want it. Gives me a chance to run away from responsibilities and tasks that's gna come in the 2nd semester. But yeaaa.... guess I'm not that lucky afterall. I've given up on hoping.

The only thing I'm looking forward to in semester 2 is my nutrition paper and weekend sports. Nothing else. What I dread the most? Sad to say, the UMSA Ball. Why? A lot a lot of reasons in which I don't really want to say. Just...... just unhappy with some things and some people that has been accummulated over the past I dno how many weeks. People say forgive and forget but for this little girl here, no, she can't for certain stuff. I guess it's because I know they themselves have something against me and are unhappy. They won't say they're unhappy but I can see it from the way they react towards me. Or maybe, I'm being paranoid. I doubt it tho. I've gotten over some stuff but not all. I tried. I thought I have forgotten everything but there's this trigger in me that can be pulled and then I can go all GrRRrRRR!! As you can see, it's been pulled today. Lolx!!

*sigh* Only two more days, what are the chances right? Might as well just give up now. As I said, at least I tried....

Au Revoir McGill!!

*not all is bad. Mid exam break was great yesterday. Today's waffle was awesome. And........ I felt appreciated yesterday. Just the thing I need. To know that at least I've done something right for once and it's been appreciated :D

mid exam break tomorrow

This is it! Tomorrow, 5.30p.m., the mid exam break starts!!! It's the halfway mark of our exams. It's two papers down, two to go! Ahh!! Let's see. Swan says go play squash after our exam paper to burn off those fats we ate at KK. Tuesday go for athletics and then after athletics, hulu cat for our exam break celebration! Wahahahaha!! People celebrate after all their papers, we two jokers celebrate when we're halfway through. Heehee :p

And here I am talking about celebrating when I have my 60% exercise physiology paper at 2.15pm. I deserve to blog k. I was at uni from 10 am till 11.30pm. Basically did one whole sem of studying in 12 hours. Decided to actually go through every single learning objectives because it was pointless going through past papers without knowing the theory. Yesterday, took 4 hours to do 20 multi choice questions. Today went through 54 objectives and it took me and leighton 10 hours! It was crazy!! It was intense (altho heaps of laughter went on and we chased away anyone who came to our table just by laughing). Man, I didn't even have time to really check my phone or even text! But yeaa.. it was good study. At the end of the day, took 15 minutes to go through 25 multi choice questions. I'm heaps more confident than yesterday. if only I had one extra day for this, then I might be able to score an A in this paper. But now...... I have to be super lucky to get an A. *sigh* This is the result you get for being last minute I suppose. Ohhh welllzzzzz..... still... when will I learn huh? Haha!!

alright.. Time to sleep. But before I go... let me show you my bible. My bible that's been guiding me for....................................... the past 24 hours :)

tadaaa!! honestly, this is actually a good book to read. Especially the irrelevant stuff that won't be coming out in the exam. ahhh! Now that's one of the reason I ran out of time. Been reading the wrong stuff. Heeheee :D

happy birthday darren

To a person who I met last year; who I classified as one of the "oldies":p ; who always gives good advices; who helps out whenever he can; who I think is very talented; who is a great ball of laughter; who loves everyone around him; who is a great motivator; who is young at heart; who lives life to the fullest.....

Happy 23rd BirthdayMr.Wise man- Darren!!

Wakakakakakakaa!!! Thanks for everything you've done. Thanks for all your help and your great advices. May all your wishes come true and good luck in everything! Have a wonderful birthday today!!! Enjoy!! You are truly a wonderful person. :D

medsci205 is a killer

Old grumpy people shouldn't be exam supervisors.

So picture this. I walked into the exam room, sat down and started filling in my scantron sheet like everyone else. Then this old lady walked up to me and said:"You're not allowed to write yet. Pens down." I said everyone else is doing the same, we are just filling in our details. And she completely ignored what I said and said "Pens down." She'd probably realized it's her mistake but she don't wanna admit she's wrong. Hence, I only managed to fill out my id number and name on my scantron sheet. Didn't manage to write down my version number and shade it in. And she was staring at me the whole time during the reading time. Baassskeett!! What a bad way to start my exam. And it's medsci.

When we managed to start writing, I completely forgotten about filling out the rest of my scantron sheet. As for the short answers, I also did not write my name on the booklet. The only name I wrote was my name on the essay booklet. I ran out of time. I've already lost 45 marks in total for not answering some questions at all. This exam sucked.

So anyway, time's up! Pens down. Realized I didn't write my name in the question/answer booklet nor did I fill up my version number on the scantron sheet. So I raised my hand up, politely asked another exam supervisor if I can fill out my name and my version number. *sigh* Stupid old MAN (yea..it's a man this time.. bet the old man and old lady are couples n they juz hv bad sex life hence their grumpiness) said :"Too bad, time's up. Your lost". Far out man! It's just my name for goodness sake!!! No choice, I handed my scantron sheet without a version number, essay booklet with name, short answer booklet without a name at the front. My name was written in one of the pages of that booklet, somewhere in the middle. At least it was tied together. Just hope they don't separate it. Orelse it'll be pieces of paper floating around, nameless.

Today just sucked to the max. And the exam did not go well at all. Not only the name incident. The exam as a whole. Will I even pass this paper? 45 marks already gone down the drain. Exams out of 145 marks. You tell me how to pass? When the majority of multi choice questions were done using Eeeniee meeniee maineee more method and the essay questions were written poorly and probably out of topic and managed to only write one instead of 2. Short answers, I only answered 10 marks which i'm not sure if it's all right. The other 15 marks gone just like that coz i have no idea what they're asking.

Lalalalala.....

Now I'm just hoping everyone did really bad and they scale the passing mark. Please scale it down to 30%. Then I'll pass :D

of chocs

Screw it! Screw the idea of going through all the lecture notes. I'm running out of time. At least the lecture notes that I'm not going to go through are the ones that I glance through for the mid-sem test. Went over last year's medsci205 paper today at uni. Took the whole day and I'm not finished. I came to the point of giving up. Flipped through the textbook, course notes and still have no idea what they are asking for. I'm.................... in deep shit. Not feeling productive at all today. Feeling crappy. *sigh* Plus the amount of chocs I consumed today, makes me feel even worst since I ate the chocs and didn't do much. Emailed the tutor and hopefully he replies me and give me some ideas on how to answer the questions. Can really see that I'm in desperate measures that I have to bring myself emailing the tutor! Never done this before. Shows that I really do need help! Really need to pass this paper man!!!

Can't wait for the 11th of June to be over. Where two of my dreadful papers will be finished! Gonna have a mini mid exam break on the 12th of June with swan after athletics. Hulucat here I come!! The last two papers are pretty alright. Biomechanics exam worth 30% and stats worth 60%. They are back to back but I think I'll do fine. But still have to work hard on those coz it's a huge opportunity there to get an A and bring my GPA scores up. Don't let the opportunity pass you by, right?

By the way, Munchy mart is selling kinder bueno chocs at a really cheap price! $2.50 for 6 fingers! I love kinder chocs except I hardly buy them coz they are too pricey. But now... heeheeheee.....

Look out for Shermayne with the chocobelly after the exams!!

and that's not all!!!! She's got more in her drawer!

alrightey.. it's been decided. I shall have to go for a run on Friday morning before I start studying for exercise physiology.

I've spent 8 hours with Ms.Edgar's brain yesterday. I've spent 8 hours with The General's abs today. Tomorrow, who shall I spend my time with? And which part of their body shall I go to?

I realized I'm as last minute as last year for my first two papers. Look here! Things never change, do they? Hehehe.. I figured I got through it last year so I should be able to do it this year!

I have to pass medsci. No way am I gonna repeat this paper. It would be damn depressing to sit through another term of medsci lectures and do those lab reports again. No way man! Today I was saying to myself : This shall be the last day I'm walking to grafton to pick up my very last medsci lab report in my life. This shall be the last day I will ever attend medsci205 lectures!

Right now, I have 24% out of 35% of medsci205. So if I pass the finals, I'll pass this paper! Sounds easy to just pass eh? No, I nearly failed the mid semester test, just passed on the dot! So yea... high risk of failing this paper if I don't buckle up. Can I dig it?

Good luck to all of you in ur exams!!! We can do it!!!

Maybe I would blog to relieve stress. Who knows? But yeaa... right now, panic mode have been switched on after realizing I'm pretty much screwed for medsci and exercise physiology. Tata!!

when things doesn't go ur way

You know how at times when you just feel like running away and disappear? Shut everything around you and so you won't need to care anymore? When you just feel like dropping everything down because no matter how hard you try, you can't possibly please everyone around you? When you feel that everyone, mostly everyone is against you? When someone is definitely prone to be unhappy, unsatisfied with the decision you make? Where you can't exactly take time to breathe because after solving a problem another is being thrown at you?

I'm feeling like that right now. It's what I've been feeling the past I-don't-know-how-many-weeks. Not all the time tho, just ... occassionally. It can't be helped I guess. This is life, it's unfair, tough luck! I just wish for the day to come. The day where I know I've actually done something right. Will that day ever come? Will just have to wait and see.

I am so looking forward for the winter break. Where everything will be over or on standby for a month. But right now, I need to get through the exams. I can do it!!!!

Regarding my exchange programme, I don't think I got it. They haven't got back to me yet. *sigh* and I thought going for an exchange would be good in the sense that I can run away from everything. Too bad for me then. Just gta live with it. As you can see, I'm not a person who can handle things very well, I tend to run away from problems rather than to deal with it. I guess it's time to change.

Minor issues really. Maybe I'm just taking some things too personal when it's not. But other than that, I'm good. Real good.

Next post: Belated birthday shoutouts to all the ppl born in May. To be honest, I nearly forgotten two :S.... *sigh*

wishes

Fuhh!!!

Busy busy busy. 3.5 more weeks till the exams!! I should start studying now. But there's so many things to do all the time. Lab report due in tomorrow and I'm not even started. How lovely. Medsci test results are out. I'm below average. *sigh* At least I passed....borderline.... Gta start working hard. Have been saying that all the time but still not doing anything. When when when? When will I learn?

It's going to be a busy week filled with sports. And then there's the medsci lab report and sportsci lab assessment. Still thinking if I should go for netball on Thursday. Should really spend some time concentrating on studies. Body do need a rest.
Anyhuuzz... here's some wishes I've to make....

12th May
Happy Sweet 16 Pearl!!

Getting hotter and hotter every year....

Happy Anniversary to Daddy and Mummy!!!

The greatest parents on earth! Unlike most parents, you never pressure us into doing things we don't like. Thanks for being supportive in the decisions we make. Without both of you, we(koko and i) will never make it to this world. Heeheehee :p Love you!

13th May - Happy Mother's Day!!!!

19 years and I still feel the same way about you. You are the best mummy in the whole wide world! I wouldn't trade anyone else for you coz you're the best!!! I love you to bits!!

You have taught me to be strong and the importance of family. Thanks for handing down the important values in life and the idea of not giving up to achieve my goals. I'll always love you, forever and ever.

Happy Mother's Day once again :)

of silly answers...

In the very first medsci205 tutorial for sportsci students yesterday ...

Q: We'll start off with which part of the body does glomerular filtration occurs?
A: In the glomerulus!!!

Q: Where is the glomerulus?
A: Errrr.... somewhere in the body.....

Q: What does the kidney do?
A: It's responsible for filtration

Q: So, what does it filter?
A: It filters ......................... STUFF!!!

I am actually looking forward to tomorrow's tutorial :D

happy birthday henry

Happy 23rd Birthday Mr.Henry aka oONri!!!

Hope you had a great bday today and a great pre-bday celebration yesterday with choc mud cake and the cold shower the vball team plus a few randoms gave u! I'm sure the tatoo will be fine :D

I remembered you as the guy who comes and help out with netball training along with audrey, yingswan and yean and last year on weekdays. With all your fancy and funny moves, always a great laugh. Haha! Thanks a lot! And this year, thanks for letting me join ur volleyball trainings and giving me the opportunity to learn how to play volleyball properly and be less afraid of the ball. I'm learning, just very slowly but I appreciate it heaps! You're awesome!! You're like a big bro to me la... May you have a great year ahead and many many happy moments! All the best in everything you do!!! You are someone who deserved the chocolate mud cake ;) heeeheehee :p

Yesterday i've been out for 18 hrs. 6.30am Saturday til 12.30am Sunday. Netball (7-9), volleyball (10-12) then touch (12.30-2.30). After touch, it was food night preparation but swan and i managed to make a small detour and grabbed subway for lunch. They ha 2 for 1 subs that day!

Exhausted but at least it was appreciated. Glad to get good feedbacks from members who enjoyed the foodnight. The skit was so last minute, especially the dance.. but we managed to pull it off thanks to the dance guru - Vanessa! She's talented la... she's great!! We only had two days to learn the dance. Gta admit it wasn't that synchronised and i felt very stiff. Imagine what it was like before the real one. The practice in the afternoon was filled with laughters. I think yean enjoyed herself the most laughing at us, especially me and jeremy since we both very kayu and placed at the same corner... evil evil!! But yea, it was a good experience. If only i can dance like vanessa...hehehe...

Today... I'm sick. But still had to go city to get id cards off players to book courts tomorrow morning. *sigh* I can't wait for this Bersatu Games to be over. A lot of sacrificing especially when staying so far from city. Need to wake up at 5 again tmrw. I hope all these will pay off. It wld suck big time if UMSA don't even get third place. But hey, this is all I can do and I think I've done my best, I can't think of anything else to do. All up to the players on how much and how badly they want it. Mum said I look horrible. Not enough sleep, over-worked. She's good at telling these kinda things just by looking at my face. Mummy's instinct I guess. And my bro says I'm doing lotsa shitty stuff as a sports officer. Especially the waking up part on Monday mornings. Could ask other committee members living in the city to book for me so I don't need to wake up but no, none of them would be willing to do that unless getting me to fetch them to rec centre. But a promise is a promise. I promised to wake up at 5 and book courts during the AGM last year so I'll have to keep to it. Hence, I can't wait for the Bersatu Games to be over!

Right now, it's sleep for me. Didn't do any work this weekend at all. Have a great week ahead everybody :D

medsci test.. and disappointed me

First of all,

Congrats to Yin, Zaf, David, Sean, Chris and Lawrence who graduated yesterday!!

Went to albert park yesterday to take photos with da oldies.. heeheehee.. ok, put it in a better way, the graduates!!! I'm gonna be like them one day!!!! Hopefully in two years time. Nyehehehehe.....

Medsci test today. Stayed up till 3 last night. Was it worth it? I don't think so. Still came out feeling URGHH. Why? Coz no matter how much I read, how much I tried to make sense of the materials, it still doesn't make sense. Having a very bad understanding on the concepts. Finals are worth 65%. I need it. I really need it. Gonna go for tutorials from Monday onwards. Sportsci department having tutorials twice a week for us from Monday onwards. I really need all the help I can have. This means I finish at 5 on Mondays and Wednesdays instead of 4. Nvm, afterall, it's just 7 more weeks! 7 more weeks and no more medsci at all!!! That's why I gta pass this stupid paper.

Told mum my plans tomorrow. Will be gone from early morning and coming back late. Weekend really not weekend at all. Realized I don't even have much time to spend with them. Sunday also sports again. Don't even have time to go out for dim sum anymore. But next Sunday (May 13) confirm I'm gonna be home! Have to. No excuses. Tempted to go for sports but it's mummy's day!

Hmmnn.. i wanted to blog about what happened on Monday but... nahh... i'll keep it to myself. But if it ever happens again ............ I shall blog and show my disatisfaction. Besides that, I also have been disappointed by several other things. Let's just say there's this huge amount of energy in me that sometimes just makes me want to move and not stay still. I want to go all out and use all the energy in me. That's the only way that I can be satisfied with what I do. I have this attitude of just focusing on one thing and be good in it. But now I feel that I'm not allowed to do that. I feel like I'm being pushed around to just feel out anything that's empty. Sux! Ohh wellzzzz...just gta live with it and respect the decisions of others. Afterall, I'm just a kid :D And maybe, it's good in a way. It would teach me to be more flexible. Mum have been saying I'm never flexible since I was young. Hate changes and I do get annoyed with it. Yes, I've been annoyed with it the past few times but I'm keeping it to myself. No point letting others know how I feel coz it's jsut real bad for me to feel like this. Bad attitude. Can't help it. So the only way to not show my bad attitude is... keeping it to myself. Hopefully, I can keep it in me and then who knows? one day it might disappear.

ok, off to bed now. Waking up at 6.15 tmrw. I think it's gna be a great sunny day!!!

good Saturday

Question: Who is a happy girl today?

Answer: Shermayne is a happy girl today.

Enjoyed today so much! The weather was a bit sucky in the morning when I got up but it became awesome once I stepped out the house. Must be coz my Mr.Sun was waiting to see me!! :p... It actually felt like a normal Saturday after so long! It was so relaxing. No stress at all, enjoyed myself to the max, filled with laughters and yea.. overall, a great day! Don't even regret for not going to Goat Island. I saved money and I had so much fun. Played volleyball and touch. Thanks so much to sheng and henry for allowing me to join the volleyball trainings though i'm not even in the team. Thanks for teaching and having lots of patience in me. You guys are great. Really thankful to have the opportunity to learn. One day, one day I'll face my fear and not be afraid of the ball and learn to control. One day... I'll eventually get there. Mustn't give up.

Touch was great too. And again, thanks to Sean so much for his time. Played at domain today. The sun was shining. I have sock lines but it's all good. First time for me getting tan lines when summer is already over. I'm even darker. Loving it!! Hope I can maintain my tan throughout winter. Lolx! Here's to a sunny winter! I hope!!

Can't wait for this week to be over. Lab report due in on Monday. I'm not even halfway thru. Not even a quarter. And here I am blogging. *sigh* priorities Shermayne, priorities! I just hate writing medsci lab reports. It's only worth 4% per report but so time consuming and it usually comes up to around 10 pages. So it's wasting so much time, paying 1 buck (to print out the lab report) to get less than 4%. My gosh! They should just give us all 4% for the effort we put in!! But no, impossible to get 4%. I've been lucky for the past two lab reports. But I have a feeling I'm not gna be lucky this time. Preparing myself to get a B, or even a C since not much effort is put in. Ppl usually spend two weeks doing it. For me, it will probably be a day. Late night tomorrow. Maybe no sleep at all since I've to wake up at 5 and go city to book courts. *sigh*

Next, it's medsci test on Friday. Will study the remainder 10 lectures after I hand in my lab report on Monday. Got 4 days to study it. Take out the apples! Apparently apples can keep a person awake better than caffeine. I don't know, that's just something random my lecturer told us the other day.. I want to do well. Need to do well. Man! I don't want to fail medsci205. Mustn't fail it coz no way am I sitting through another semester of medsci. It's torturing! I just need to pass it. Pass it and I'm all sweet. I know I should be aiming higher.

I'm finding everything so tough. I'm not putting much effort in. All I do is procrastinate. That's what I'm best at. Someone slap me! I fall asleep in medsci. And yes, my friends actually slap me when I fall asleep in medsci. It's something we do to keep each other awake. We are the survivors of sportsci who passed first yr medsci and biosci papers. Passing rate for sportsci students in medsci is very very low. So yeaa... it's scary. I sit through lectures and come out feeling blur. And what do I do with that? Nothing! I don't revise my lectures. Now when I read through them, it's like... what the? *sigh*

Friday: Judgement Day. The test is only 15% but it shall be a good indication on how I will fair in the finals.

Now now, lab report here I come!!!!

Anzac Day- a day to remember the brave ones who sacrificed for our nation

Anzac Day= holiday for me.. Yay!!! It's more than a holiday actually... it's a day to remember and honour those who fought and sacrificed themselves during the war in Gallipoli for this country. I remembered during college years, they would play the Last Post during assembly after Anzac Day and remind us the significance of this day. Had friends talking about it, about how their great grandparents/grandparents who were involved in this war, some died, some came back wounded with stories to be passed on. It actually touched my heart.

So on this very day for the fallen....

They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.

busy busy bumble bee

Busy Busy Bumble Bee....

For once in my life, I did not have a well-rested holiday and I'm so not prepared for the next half of this semester. Man!! How I wish it's back to college, where the no-homework-to-be-given-during-holidays is actually the school's policy. I kinda like that idea.

This holidays have been filled up with sports. And I'm starting the next half of this semester with a neck ache, butt ache, back ache, shoulder ache..... basically a full body ache. Told yingswan the other day that we've both been so busy... so busy that we are blogging less... so busy that she has no time to be emo. Which is one of the good things for being busy. Emo-SWAN is no longer filled with Emo-TIONS.. wakakakakakkaa!!!

7 more weeks till the exams
9 more weeks till the holidays
10 more weeks till I'm off to Christchurch

So yea..7 weeks of hard work. This 7 weeks is going to go at a very fast pace. Buckle up, hang on, stay strong and GO!!!! Go all out!! Need to work hard. There's no such thing as being lucky again in exams like last year. This year requires me to put the time and effort in my study. No more sitting back and cruising through. I know if I work hard, I'll be able to do well. I'm already lucky enough to pass my exercise physiology paper. I'm below the average for it but I still can catch up. I know I can! Just requires time and a lot of tree-killing! Yes, I realized when I study, I just have to keep on writing notes out over and over again then only it will go into my head. Wasting a lot of trees but that's the only way that will work for me.

I need to make it a point to study if I'm not doing sports. I need to watch less tv. I need to put Smallville and Lost aside first. Need to......blog less? Cannot cannot! Blogging is a therapy to release stress. I realized during the exams period, I tend to blog more. Haha!!

Right now, I can't wait for the next two weeks to be over.
24/4- Stats Test
4/5- Medsci 205 Test

I think I'll be fine for stats. Need to do last minute studying for stats tomorrow and tuesday morning and I'll be sweet.

I'm worried for medsci. Tough paper and I haven't been revising or going through my notes since the very start of the semester. So this means cramming 17 lectures in 8 days. 2 lectures per day provided I stick to it!! Hardly can stick to it. Tend to leave everything last minute. I wonder if this time I'll change my last minute attitude. Hard la since I've always been doing things last minute and nothing have ever slapped me in the face real hard and wake me up. The exercise physiology paper did kinda slap me in the face.... let's just see if it's hard enough!!

Go go go!! The race is on!! 9 weeks!! 9 weeks!!! Good luck everybodyy!!!

addicted to sports

Ahhh!! one week of holidays gone... haven't started on my assignments nor studying for my two tests... I'll start tomorrow... hopefully :P

I realized I can't stay away from sports. Need to do something everyday. You see, thursday was meant to be my rest day. In the morning, after doing the laundry, sending out a few emails and text messages, applied for mcgill, had my breakfast.... then i found myself driving to lloyd elsmore going for a swim. My body was aching and so I figured I needed a swim to ease the ache. Water therapy I called it. It works all the time. I remembered last time every Saturday after Taekwondo, the next morning my body would ache. But on Sunday evenings, I've got swimming. Monday morning, no more aches. So I figured, it's the swim. Swam 4k. It was so relaxing. Most of the time when I swim, it would always be training. Even when I said I've stopped swimming, I usually would still attempt to swim my fastest and see how far off I am to my best time. But Thursday's swim had none of this nonsense. The only target was to relax my my mind and body and forget about everything around me for once. It was good. I felt so happy that day. Plus I finished watching Heroes :D Heeheeeheee...

On Friday, it was rest day again for netball. Had touch in the evening. The weather the whole day was pretty bad. I was praying for fine weather as I was itching to go out. When I reached city at 5, it was just windy and looked like it was gna rain. When we reached Okahu Bay, it started to rain. But I said... PLAY ON! No way am I going to drive all the way to city then to Okahu and go back without doing anything. We played for an hour. The rain stopped for awhile. But after an hour, it started raining heavily so we had to go. Huge huge huge thanks to Sean who's so nice to come and coach us all the time eventhough he's working already. Thanks Sean!!

Saturday was meant to have netball. But it was cancelled coz Audrey wasn't free. Went for dim sum at the city with darren, mags, yin, shaun, sheng, wei en, rachel and cynthia. Thanks darren for the invite! Ate till so full but fear not as I would be having athletics after that. But....... halfway throughout the meal, I received a text saying athletics have been cancelled due to bad weather. Ohh no!!!! The guilt the guilt! Cannot!! So..... I find myself in the squash courts playing squash myself. Haha!! Played for an hour plus and then went home. No, it doesn't end there. When I reached home, the weather at my place was fine. Windy but not raining. And I've been itching to run since that morning. So, I went for a run. Went to my school field and did some sprinting. It started to rain. But I wasn't cold. So I continued. It was fun. Running under the rain. Haha!

So yeaa... that's what I did on my "rest days". Can't stay away from sports. Haha! And now, off to Super Sports Sunday!! And no, I don't feel a tad sick from running under the rain yesterday. I feel good!! lalalalalalaa

we do need time

So many things to do....

2 assignments to be completed, 2 tests to be examined after this two weeks "break"... sort out t-shirts for bersatu games (I hv no idea what to do about it), writing proposal letter to request sponsorship for t-shirts from asb (I really think this shouldn't be my job, I hv no idea how to write one and I seriously don't want to go google right now and search for samples and learn), finalizing the bersatu squad, booking courts, worrying whether the numbers of players will exceed the max and what to do about it, trials for squash and athletics, finding a suitable field for athletics (found one today at Mt.Eden thanks to Shaun! but there's no marking on where to start for 200, 400m).....

And on top of that...... Today I found out that I've been nominated to go for an exchange programme to McGill University in Canada.... happy?
Not really.....Why? coz that means more things to do....

Need to enquire bout my visa application, complete application form for that uni, look out for flight tickets, look for accomodation over there, need to get another reference....

And no, it's not confirmed whether I'm going. Still have to wait for acceptance letter from McGill after I've handed in my application form....deadline-1st of May. *sigh* I don't feel like going anymore. So many things to do. So many things to find out. But when I think about it, after all the rushing and worrying I've gone through, all the research I had to do on that university, the constant nagging from my parents, after troubling henry to hand in my application forms back in january, after the nail-biting interview (my very first interview in my whole entire life ok!).... if i don't follow up, then all of these would just be wasted and i did this for nothing. i won't be able to say "at least i tried my best" if i don't get in. i would be the same ol' shermayne who just gives up when faced with a challenge that she can't be bothered going for it because she's scared, because she's uncertain on what the outcome may be. So yeahh.. i'm going to go ahead and follow up, do what should be done, and perhaps hope to get in as it is an opportunity of a lifetime not to be missed. And if I don't get accepted, at least tried my best :)

I agree with Swan on how it's all about time. "Just need time, to stop, to think, to understand, to take in what is happening around you and attend to them."-yingswan. I want more time, I need more time. I guess I have no more time for Heroes anymore until.............. this semester is over. *sigh*

You know what I need?
I need to go to the beach and clear my head. Or perhaps go and lie on the garden, stare at the stars till I fall asleep. Yes, I need that.

Good Night...

busy busy.. i need rest... i want to go back to college!

Yayy!! It's the holidays. How wonderful..... but it still doesn't feel like the holidays to me. I don't feel relaxed at all. Still wondering when I will get a good break.

Test on Tuesday sucked. It seemed pretty alright as I studying and cramming for it on Monday night and Tuesday morning. But on Tuesday.... it sucked big time. The lecturer lied to us.... she said if we could do the self assessment, we would be sweet of the test. Not true. So not true. I did the self assessment test without opening my book. But during the test, I didn't know how to most of it. And if you were to make that test an open book test, I still have no idea what to write. *sigh* felt so shitty that day. I guess the only good thing is that it woke me up from thinking that I can cruise through sports science with last minute study.

Wednesday was a not too bad day until the end of it. Woke up at 8 which is now considered as sleeping in for me. I was pretty much awake the whole day. After class, went and study my biomechanics test. Studied from 4 till 9 at uni. And yes, I still hate maths and physics. Took me an hour to realize I do not need to use gravity when calculating my horizontal component. No wonder I couldn't get the right answer. Yes, that's how dumb I am. Around 8 something, my study was disrupted by a very disturbing text all the way from CMSA -"for your information, handball, pool and table tennis has been taken out for the Bersatu Games and they are being replaced by squash, bowling and athletics." Hahaha! The only thing I could do when I read that text was to laugh. And from then on, I couldn't really concentrate. Started to worry, started to get stressed up, started to think a lot and probably started to curse in my head. Got home, showered, tried to clear my head and continued studying. Amazingly managed to study till 3.

thursday, woke up at 6. Fell asleep during stats lecture as usual. 9.30, went to tamaki thinking we have labs but haha! no labs... a bunch of idiots who didn't check their lab manual was sitting in the lab for 10 minutes and realized there's no lab. So that means extra 2 hours of study!! Test went well. I was happy. At night, had meeting with the other sports captains. Can't really do much because of the addition of new sports. After that.... HULU CAT!!! taro milk tea with taro pudding...my dinner...lolx! Ahhh!! Great way to enjoy and not worry for the night. Was there with swan, yin, shaun, gjin, darren, cynthia, sheng, wei en, zaf, henry, kai ann, jeremy.. did i miss anyone out? Hehehe.. hope i didn't.. but yeahhh... great company... they are always great... they are great, awesome ppl... Lots of laughter. I like. And I get to tell the baby shark story again. Wahahahahahaha! Swan slept over for the night.. she was sending out umsa mail at went to bed around 3.30... as for me, i just fell dead.. i was seriously so tired i couldn't stay up any longer. i tried but.. i failed...

friday morning, woke up at 9! haven't been waking up this late since..... AGES! swan had to send email again. Lolx!! Sorry my other half!! Hehehehe... at least u get to drink the cabbage soup i boiled specially for u.. :p.. lolx! after that, went to city with swan for tennis...dropped bro off at foodtown coz he needed breakfast...haha!! before tennis, went to collect my tv series...wahahaha!! Heroes, Lost, Smallville, Prison Break.. lalalalalalaa!! quote my bro:" Aiya! we don't have to go for any trips this holiday la... too much commitments this break.." yes yes, must pay our full attention to all these tv shows... no time for other things... hehehe...thanks roger for the shows and movies... heeheee...got 300 also...really a lot to watch.... anywayzzz..yes...tennis...hmmnn.. i didn't play much.. was just picking balls most of the time while swan and marc played.. man! i wish i can play tennis... i like the sound of the ball when the racquet hits it....haha!!

saturday morning.. paintball!!! first time in my life going for it...pricey tho... but it was fun... having a huge bruise on my thigh... so uglyyyyyy...but it's all good! i enjoyed myself a lot...thanks audrey for the invite!!!!! i think next time i will just go for 300 balls...i hardly shoot... heck! i even ran out once without taking my gun along with me!!!! came home, showered and then watched heroes...then cooked dinner... so lazy to cook but had to... after dinner, heroes again... fell alseep halfway....seriously exhausted...

sunday which is today....Super Sports Sunday! tired...very tired... but as usual, super sports sunday is always super!!! love it!! having two blisters now.....sighh.... and i'm tired..still tired... i want to do NOTHING at all for at least day... Thursday....thursday shall be the day!! why? see below...

monday- netball in morning, running tracks hunting in the afternoon, bowling trials at night (no i'm not trialing for bowling... not nice to not turn up during the trials)

tuesday-squash trials in morning, athletic trials in the evening...

wednesday- planning to clean the house during the day... captains meeting at night... i'm predicting headaches that night.. haha!! it'll be fine.. it'll be fine.. it better be!

so yess!! thursday rest day!! it better be... no plans.... no plans on thursday and friday ... just to let you all know that sher mayne is fully occupied on thursday and friday... her room needs her...her bed needs her.. her tv series needs her... so do not ask her to do anything for the chance of her saying NO to u is super high... unless the weather is nice and sunny and it doesn't have anything to do with umsa or study or driving around or netball training... right now, these are the 4 things that i am kinda sick of doing right now.. anymore of it and soon i will just say I GIVE UP! yes, it's true... if i do too much of one thing and i don't get a break, i'll just stop coz i don't enjoy doing it... i just need a day or two away from all 4 of these and i'll be fine.

right now, bedtime! I'm sleeping before 12!! Havent' done this since.....AGES as well.... Good night and have a great holiday!!!!

I wish....

I wish.............i'm a 5 yr old kid again....

AHHHHHH!!!! Why do we have to be so busy? I don't remember it being like this last year. My time management skills still sucks... and my habit of doing things last minute is still attached to me. Wahahahahaha!!!

Let's see let's see....
Tomorrow: big break from 9-3. At 10 having interview regarding my 360 auckland abroad application. I think I'm gonna stay back after class tomorrow and TRY to finish my medsci205 lab report. Even if it means staying at uni till 12. 4%....4%... do I really want it? Haihhh...taking so much of my time. The last one took 20 hours in total. Just for 4%... or less....I really can't be stuffed doing it but if I don't, I'm sure to regret.

Saturday: Netball at 9. Touch at 12. After that, I'm planning to stay back as well to FINISH my lab report. Have to FINISH it!! At night, Eleanor's flat warming party. Black and white theme. To go or not to go? She said have to go! No excuses! Can't use the medsci lab report or sportsci tests as an excuse... Haihhhh... If I finish my lab report, I'll go.

Sunday: Sports starts at 9. Ends at 2. Staying back to study. Heaps to cover. Two tests next week and I haven't done any revising since.................................... the start of term :P. Not surprising eh? So screwed!! 100% screwed for biomechanics coz I hv no idea what it's on about. I'm not a number or physics person. There probably a very small hope in exercise physiology. Provided I work my butt off this weekend.

So yeaa...there you go. My weekend plan. I'm sure next weekend is gna be way different! And I can't wait for that! WoootTTTTt!!!!

2/4- Medsci 205 lab report due (4%)
3/4- Exercise physiology test (15%)
4/4- Biomechanics tutorial readings due (2%..waste of time)
5/4- Biomechanics test (25%)

sometimes I wish my papers have plussage :p

5/4 @ 1.30 pm.-WeeEEEEeeEEEE!! Let the easter break begin!!

*Note to self: Get Heroes and Lost from someone by Thursday night. Nyehehehehehehe....

Now I shall sleep and stock it up for the weekend. Don't think I'll be having much sleep starting tomorrow onwards. Nvm.. just one week. My body has been tortured by ME many many times already. Wahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Have a nice day despite the wet, gloomy, shitty weather :p

or I wish.......................

it's chinese new year again...... lolx!!!

desperado for tv series

Of tv....

If one does not keep up with what's going on in Lost, one can get very lost if one starts watching Lost again.

I'm so lost! Someone please give me season 3 of Lost to watch from scratch. Please please please! Anyone??

And the TV nights resumes...

Monday: Desperate Housewives, Heroes
Tuesday: Ugly Betty
Wednesday: Lost, Prison Break
Thursday: Greys Anatomy
Friday: Supernatural (is this any good? it looks good)

Now now, I need to do some catch up on...
Heroes and Lost before I watch what's on the TV. I missed a lot on Desperate Housewives but it doesn't matter. Still watchable.

So please someone out there... help this poor soul and give her Heroes and Lost to watch. hehehehe...

Hmmn.. I wonder what I said about setting my priorities right...hahahaha!!!

of choc fondue and order number 7

So I haven't been blogging for a week. Exhausted and been busy.

So here's some photos just to let you know I'm not dead. I'm just tired.

When a bet is a bet...

I lost the bet. I had to use the money I earned whilst I was working at Billabong to treat Haagen Daze chocolate fondue. All is good. Look at my brother's super happy face. Haha!! The scoops were pathetically small but still good, still good ;) MMmmMMMmMMMMMMM...

When you have waited for your food for a super long time to be delivered to your table...

Yes, you take the order number and keep it!! If my memory is still good, this number was taken from A&W One Utama. No, I didn't take it. I was just there to witness the person taking it. But somehow it's sitting on my table in NZ now. Let's just say it's ermm...given to me as a farewell present. And yes... I actually brought it back to NZ. Told you I'll bring it along with me. Haha!! Good times... good times...
Ok, I've done my fair share of blogging for this week. Nyehehehe...more photos to come. Still need to put up cameron's trip and house hopping. That is if I remember....
Bye now and enjoy the hot weather before it ends!!!!
