day 2 south island 2007

It's confirmed. My flight is confirmed. Because it's a special ticket, no changes can be made. It's pretty sucky too. Need to wait in LA airport for more than 12 hours before I fly to Montreal!!! I can be the next Tom Hanks in The Terminal. What to do? Wanna pay less ma.... Also, made a mistake of staying in Tahiti for a week!! Parents won't be going. *sigh* So I'll be there alone. Perhaps I'll spend a week soaking up the sun and getting skin cancer :p Anyone wants to join me? No, I'm serious. Anyone wants to join me in Tahiti for a week? C'mon! It'll be fun! The sun, the sand, the beaches... Ahh!! It would be a relaxing holiday in the pacifics!! Even better, who wants to join me in LA for 10 days and Tahiti for a week in January? Any takers? Hehehehe... It's a lot of money but ermmm.. work la in December then join me... please please... teehee :D

24th August: Leaving Akl at 1305
25th August: Arrive Montreal at 1107

9th January: Leave Montreal at 0900, arrive LA at 1351

18th January: Leave LA at 2355

19th January: Arrive Tahiti at 0625

26th January: Leave Tahiti at 1715

27th January: Arrive Akl at 2220

Pretty sucky right now. At first I was so excited going to LA and Tahiti but the thought of just going alone sucks. *sigh* Hope my parents change their mind and decide to come to either LA or Tahiti or Both!! It will be a challenge to find accommodation and plan a budget trip for one person. I can do it! I can do it!!

In Tahiti, the majority speaks French. In Montreal, French is like a second language. Hence.....

I've started learning French ... online ... No, don't ask me to speak to you because I am having trouble with pronounciation. I can count from 1 - 10, I can say Hello, Good evening, good night, goodbye, thank you, please, excuse me, sorry, it's my pleasure. I'm most likely not pronouncing it right but bluekk.....as long as can write it out then can already. hehehe....

To end this post.... Click on the picture below for Day 2 of my South Island trip!! 11 more days to blog about!!

of a wonderful weekend

Of two Wonderful Days ...

My body is aching all over but I'm a happy girl.

Friday...
Went to city in the afternoon and watched the dance practice for the ball. That's the thing you go to when you want to have a good laugh. They never fail to make me laugh and I must say, they are getting better and better. Good job to all the dancers and Vanessa, the dance guru!! Girl, you're awesome!!!! Sometimes, I do wish I can be part of it, learning to dance is really a good thing to know (and a good workout too! always seeing them all sweaty after the dance.... that's how Vanessa get her HOT body from.. teeeheee :p as i said before... the HOT dance teacher :p)

Here's one of the MANY reasons that make me laugh:

Pei Lyn o Pei Lyn! you never fail to be the highlight of my day!!!

After dance, walked to domain with yingswan to get my car. On the way there, heard that Boon's car got towed away. Swan reminded me that last year during laserstrike, my tyres got punctured. Then this year, Boon's car got towed away. Another car incident. Wahlauu!! Thank goodness I didn't get a fine for parking at Domain for more than 90 minutes this time. The whole walk to domain, I was just worrying if I were to get a fine.

Later, swan and i went to warehouse carrying 10 bottles of soft drinks, 1 big bottle of Just Juice and potato chips all the way to foodtown. Two of us only! Sighh.. this is what you get for being YOUNG ones and getting bullied.... Next, it was dinner at The Don and then to Yogoberry where the waffles are awesome!!! Can't wait for my next visit to Yogoberry!!! So full after that. Have been eating so much man!! But all good since I jogged 6.5km on thursday hence the guilt feeling is tiny.

Throughout the whole night I was just high on sugar. See! You don't need drugs to be high. Just eat lots of sugary stuff and you get the same effect! Laserstrike was fun. Good to see so many ppl turning up. $10 for three games is definitely WORTH it! I reckon' UMSA should have more than 1 laserstrike a year coz there's so many ppl who wanted to go but the places are all full. (Read YingSwan's blog for more detailed description of Laserstrike... Heehee :D You'll know why I was laughing so much. One sentence: David Liu Sai Kong with his Jack Sparrow stunt.)

Saturday:
Woke up at 8. Meant to wake up at 7.30 but I was just so sleepy. Didn't feel like getting out of bed as my body was still aching and dead tired. But.... it's super sports Saturday and I need sports! I need to play and run around!! So yea.. off to city to pick up foong, ivan, sj and keewee to go all the way to Mangere to have a friendly volleyball with ACCC (Auckland Chinese Community Club). Waited 15 minutes for sheng, henry, darren, mag and wei en as I did not know the way there. Lolx! Could have slept for 15 more minutes la or have my breakfast. Hehehehe....

When we got there, the ACCC ppl were already playing games. I was just stunned!! They are so good man!!! It's like they can block nearly every single ball and sometimes when you think they won't be able to save it, they actually can! Fuyohh!! They are always moving around the court most of the time and always communicating. Amazing man! Even the girls are amazing! First time seeing so many girls playing volleyball and they are good!! Thank goodness Hikki came as well. She's so good!!

It was real fun playing eventhough I was just standing there most of the time on the same spot. Still having ball phobias la... but slowly overcoming it tho thanks to the trainings before bersatu. Hehehehe.... We lost the first game but it was close. The second game was against another group of people (ACCC has SO MANY players!) and we won. The third game was against the same team we played during the first game and we won. Haha! 4th game won as well. Then it came to the all men's game. Woah!! Most interesting to watch man!!!I think the guys did put up a tough fight for ACCC. The first match was so close! Lost 24-26!! Wahlauu!!! Shows that UMSA guys are nearly as good as them!!! Well done!! The last two games they didn't do as well. Probably it was coz they were tired and haven't been playing since bersatu. But still, good job!!! Just feel so lucky to watch you guys in action! Damn cool wei!! Just have more practices and you guys will be just as good!! Wooott woooTTt!!

Really enjoyed the games with ACCC. It's just great to be part of the game. It was fairplay and the people were friendly. Thanks to Mag and Weien as well for coming along to support. Hehehehe.... Looking forward for next week!!

Went for dim sum after that before sports (sorry swan for not asking u to go! shld have done that when i dropped sj off at the gym. uda say u angry!! sorry my other half!!). Came to gym and volleyball hvnt started. Basketball was still on. Didn't know how to chase them off but had to somehow coz some people paid to come in for volleyball. Felt bad as volleyball was only for less than an hour. Sorry!!!
After that it was netball "friendly" against KAC. *sigh* It's never friendly with them unless it's KAC and UMSA combined. Some of them just get so agro during the game that it's not even enjoyable to play with them. They are good and it would be great to play with them if it weren't for their stuck up, agro attitude. They had like 6 guys and 1 girl playing. So many UMSA members turned up for netball as well. Soon we decided to get more UMSA guys to play. We had our usual netball guys - Darren, Shaun, Sheng, Jeremy and Marc who came for a few netball trainings at the start of the year. And then there were new recruits of guna, ivan, shaun's friend, dallus and kimi. Potential guy netballers!!! Can make up a guys netball team now already!! The guys are good man!! Even the new recruits are awesome!! Guys!! Come and play netball next week as well!!! Hahahaha! Should introduce netball for guys in bersatu next time. Lolx!!

The netball guys with a flying Swan in the background...

In the last 20 minutes, we had UMSA guys vs UMSA girls netball. Pure fun!! The Nat-Kim duo were impressive!! Next week, the sports officer shall have just UMSA netball and no KAC since so many UMSA members turned up!! Good way to find potential players for next year. WootTt!!

The girls.. with nat and kim missing :(

Overall, yesterday was awesome. And thank you to Vanessa, the loyal supporter .. and OOoo!!! Ur cake was Van-licious!!!! Yummy!!! And thanks for taking the photos too!!! You rock!!!

Slept at 10 last night. Was so tired. Woke up at 10. 12 amazing hours of sleep! Had a bad dream tho. Seemed so real. Dreamt that I lost my luggage when I got to canada and when I found it, the bags were empty! Everything gone!! Wahlauuu... scary wei!!! Felt so real. Thank goodness it was just a dream. Now I'll take extra care with my luggage and hope that won't happen!!!

Alrighteyy.. movie time. Hehehehe.. man!! by the time my term starts, i'll probably be brain dead. My brain haven't been functioning for more than a month now!!!

run number 2

Training session #2:

I ran approx 6.5k today. Walked a bit. Took me 45 mins. And now my hip joint is hurting. And my calves, my thighs, my feet and somehow... my back?

Oh Gosh!! What's happening to me? Getting old? No no, i'm still young.. i'm still young.. i'm still young....

On a different note, going to DV8 now seems impossible. Might sell it off for 25 bucks. Hehehe... $5 cheaper than the current selling price. I'm so nice :D

could have just said No

A simple NO wouldn't have been that bad....

Supposed to be having a girl's night out with yin, audrey, swan, yean, weien, peilyn and mag tonight organized by Yin at Honey Bar. Was so looking forward to it since I'm dead bored at home. Asked mum this afternoon and she agreed though I could feel that she didn't like the idea of me going out so late, especially when I mentioned the word "bar". I mean, fair enough, she's concerned with my safety, she loves me and the idea adults have about clubbing is that people spike your drinks, people take party pills and what not. Guess FOAM PARTY sounded a lot nicer and safer eh? Bro told her it's not as bad as she think it is. We're all uni students and as long as we are careful, we would be fine. She did not exactly say the word "YES" but she did let me go. I told her I'll still have dinner before I hit town and she said "OK". Told her I'll sleepover at Yin's place and she said "OK". So obviously I assummed it's a YES, right?

Even when we were out for dinner, she did ask what time I'm going off and which car I'm taking. And after dinner she said she'll send me home first before they go to family friend's for Karaoke.

Then.................... it all started in the car. She started saying how she don't like the idea of me going out so late. How it's dangerous to walk in the city so late with a group of girls. How I should be back by 12am expecting me to just hang out there for an hour and force the whole group to leave at 12am. How this will be the last time of me going clubbing. How she really disagree on the idea of me going out tonight. GEeEEEeeZZ!! Just be straight forward for goodness sake and say :"NO, you can't go". In fact, I had to actually say:"So your point is you don't want me to go la!!!!" then only she said "YES". I bet if I didn't say that, she would have still let me go and I won't be in here blogging and whining. But I could just feel that she really don't want me to go and that she's unhappy. And if she's unhappy, I won't have a good night anyway. Hence, I initiated it.

But yeaa.. she should have just said NO in the first place when I asked her. I was already expecting that as an answer. A simple NO wouldn't hurt. A simple NO wouldn't have made me disappointed. I would have accepted it. I would be a bit gutted but I wouldn't be miserable like how I am now. It's just the fact that she kept me all excited throughout the evening and dinner.... now it's like........ WHAM!!!!

Sighhh... next time what's the point of me asking her things already right? Maybe if I were to tell her I'm having a sleepover and leave out the part where I'll be hitting town. But honesty is the best policy, ain't it?

Man, I really do wonder when will be the day where I have no more cinderella curfews and where I tell mum I'm going clubbing on an ordinary weekend and she'll say YES to it. I guess never eh? I guess you only tell the parents after you've gone or not tell at all! And the curfews, perhaps you gotta learn to ignore it and when they ask the next day, just say "I won't do it anymore" but you know you'll do it again and again until they get fed up of asking. Lolx!!! But do I have the guts to disobey them all the time, I guess not.... Maybe I should learn to be a lil more rebelious?

Mummy, daddy, I'm 19. Am I still a little girl? I guess so eh? Lil Chic.. the name says it all... Hahahahahaha!!!!!

Now I'm home alone. Bro's gone out for friend's 21st, parents gone out for karaoke, and me.... at home being miserable. At least there's sports tmrw and the weather better be fine!!!

fatty fatty

This sucks. I've not been doing sports for more than a week. I've been eating and eating. It shouldn't be like this. I'm supposed to stay fit. It's not the exams. I don't have a reason to put on weight.......... but I am!!! This is the bad thing with being too active. Coz once you stop being active just for a lil while, you'll start putting on weight real FAST!!!

Everyone's started uni hence they are busy. Whereas for me, I'm rotting here. Denise has gone back to Singapore. She was staying with me for a few days which kept me occupied. I do have things to do. Perhaps I will start looking for a job. Man, I've been saying this since ages ago but haven't come to doing it. Just kept on procrastinating. And then there's the trip down south for me to blog about but I'm feeling lazy in doing that. Hopefully I'll get to it some time next week.

I'll be leaving for Canada either on the 17th or 25th of August depending on seats availability. If there's seats on the 25th, then I'll fly on the 25th. If not, I'll have to fly on the 17th.

OoOo!! I've just came up with a physical challenge for the next few weeks!

Mission: Run the route of Round the Bays (From Britomart to St.Heliers Bay) before I leave for Canada.
Mission to be completed on the 11th of August (Saturday)

Who's up for it? kekekekeke

Shall start training for the big day tmrw provided weather is fine!!!

byebye zaf

There she goes....

Mama Chic has flown off!!

I miss mama chic. It's not like I see her everyday but just the thought of not having mama chic in NZ just makes me all :(....

The next time I go for netball, there won't be zaf there anymore. There won't be a girl with tall and sexy legs standing by the goal post waiting for me to throw a high ball and shoot it into the net. I won't have a headless chicken teman with me anymore.

Zaf o Zaf! Who's gonna help me look for fishes now? Teeeheeee :D Don't worry mama chic, I'll make you proud one day.. ONE DAY!

Thanks for everything for the past 1.5 years. It really is a blessing to get to know you. The joy you have given me will remain with me forever. Goodbye for now but not goodbye forever! I'm missing you already!!

Good luck and all the best! I know my mama chic will succeed in everything she does! I'll see you again one day!!!

brief summary of bersatu games canterbury

I'm back from my two weeks trip at south island. A lot to blog on. I wonder how long will I take this time to write about every single day. Better start soon before I start to forget everything. Now, just a "brief" summary about everything as I will slowly type out every single day after this.

Main reason to fly down South was for the Bersatu Games. But this year, the Bersatu Games was a great disappointment. We did get 2nd overall which was our target since we've been getting 3rd the past few years. I guess this games really showed me that a placing is not everything. It is the joy, the experience and the friendship made during the Games that matters most. This year's games obviously did not have much of that hence the disappointment. I blame it on the organization. Christchurch obviously failed in that. It's harsh but it's the truth.

I felt that the Games was all tensed and stressed up that the players hardly have time to socialize. The games schedule were done in favour to CMSA themselves. Most contingents had back to back games and clashes. Players had to worry about conserving their energy and worry about getting to their next game in time that they can't really put their whole heart into any particular sport and have fun. And if Chch reason was that MSD pressured them to have 4 days of games instead of 5, then I have to say RUBBISH! This was because last year in Dunedin, the games went for 4 days as well and not 5. They managed it well despite ending kinda late on the first few days but everyone enjoyed themselves. I'm sure the majority enjoyed bersatu games in otago and the majority were disappointed with the bersatu games in canterbury this year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally, I enjoyed pre-Bersatu and post-Bersatu more than the Bersatu Games itself this year. The trainings months before the games were great fun. The mini tour around Chch with Swan, Audrey and Peilyn was filled with laughters and they were good memories indeed. Audrey and peilyn do make a great pair entertaining each other. Swan didn't emo this time. Or maybe, I didn't realize it? Lolx! The road trip with 13 people after the games was memorable and definitely a great experience. Exhausting but AWESOME! Definitely unforgettable and will be cherished for a lifetime. Like last year, new friendships were made and got to know everyone better.

The hot guys of the post-bersatu road trip

The chun chics of the post-bersatu road trip
Alright, more on this another day. As you can see, I had an awesome time despite the not-so-good bersatu games. Ok ok, it's not that bad la... we did come 2nd, the cheering was awesome, I nearly lost my voice from it, there were some surprise medals, some sportmanship was shown in some games, I did get medals in all the events I participated.... I am happy!!! But... it could have been better!

off i go to christchurch

In 17 hours time, I will be boarding that plane and off to freezing christchurch, south island.

Have I told you how excited I am? I'm super uber excited!!! Maybe I won't be able to sleep tonight!! Lalalalalalalalalala!

27-30th June: Lazed around Christchurch, see the city
1-4 July: Bersatu Games
5-9 July: Travelling with a group of 14 ppl!!!!!!
2 weeks!! I wonder how long I will take to blog about every single day. Last year's bersatu trip took me months!!!! Hahahaha!!!!

So looking forward to the Games. Tomorrow will be the very last training before we fly off. Having athletics in the morning. Today had a Touch friendly with Petunia. Man!! so tiring! Those people can run fast!!! Plus we didn't have any subs at all. As Daniel said, treat it as a fitness training. Haha!!

At night, it was our last netball training. Netball girls VS Volleyball guys as they wanted their revenge. They got it alright!! RaWrRrRR!! But it's all good. Lose in Auckland but don't lose in Christchurch!!

All the best to the UMSA tribe!!! We can do it!!! And to sharvin who twisted his ankle, get well soon! We will all be praying for you. And few days ago... i was celebrating my ankle injury anniversary.... wahlauuuu...... Why is UMSA also having injuries? Let us all hope that this time when we go down for the Games, we are not the contingent who have the most injuries during the Games!!!! Lol!!

And now, I shall leave you with pictures of my awesome Bersatu shirt designed by the talented uncle Darren!!!

WoooooTtTT!! Once again, we UMSA ppl are gna look freaking good!! wahahahahaha!! Loving last year's and this year's bersatu shirt!!!

And off I go now! Time to sleep. Wont be blogging for the next two weeks. Dont miss me!!!

mcgill

On Friday night, I was telling Swan how much I really wish to go to Canada. I've been telling her that the same thing for the past 2 weeks or so. I was already giving up, more like, gave up. But she kept on saying not to give up till they confirm it. Vanessa said I'll sure get it. But to me, I gave up coz I have the tendency to get disappointed and I know some people who already got their admission letters way earlier than me and the 15th of June has already passed. Swan still kept my hope up, hence I was still constantly logging into my webmail, hoping to see an acceptance letter or a rejection letter.

In the midst of chatting with her and blogging about my ankle anniversary, I decided to check my mail once again eventhough I've already checked it three times that day. To my surprise.......

WeeEeEeeEEE!!! I got accepted!!! I got accepted!!! My wish came true!!!! Told yingswan then ran up and told mummy. Heeheee... now I can definitely go buy thermals from Kathmandu and a jacket!!! I wanted to get them for my trip to christchurch but mum said I've got enough thermals (3 only lerr.. i want more!!) but now.... heehee! I would need the thermals for Canada, it's gonna be freezing over there and I'll be going to Montreal, even colder!

Ahh!! So happy. No need to go for skit practices in semester two. Wahahahahaha! To those who kept on saying Canada do not want me .........."Canada wants me baby!!!!!" Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Thanks to those who told me not to give up yet and wishing for me to get it.

Special thanks to Henry who helped me submitted my forms when I was still back in Malaysia. Who had to line up for quite some time just to hand the forms in and get them signed. Thank you thank you! oONri, I owe you lunch!!!!

McGill, here I come!!

The semester starts on the 6th of September over there. Meaning I am having a long holiday! Will probably fly off sometime mid august. Right now, I have to make sure I don't miss any deadlines. Need to find accommodation, apply visa, enrol for my papers and enrol for some french classes over here. So yea.. not really of a long holiday for me, still got heaps to do!! OooOo!! So excited! Now I will finally get to feel how it's like staying away from home, I get to be an international student (but still paying the fees over here :D heeheee)!!!!

And if you're just wondering why McGill? Why to a place where it's freaking cold and where the locals speaks french? It's because it's the few universities that have my sportscience papers which I can transfer the credits. Had a hard time finding a suitable university. Ohh wellzz.... guess who's gonna be having a white christmas this year? Heeheee =D And according to my bro, all I have to do is pass over there and get the credits. The grades don't matter. No need to worry about GPA scores. It won't be counted. Weeeeee!!

Now, I get to RUN!!

anniversary of ankle sprain

Today during marketing team meeting, I suddenly burst out... "OoOoo!! Today's the anniversary....."... before I even finished my sentence, yean and rayvin's eyes were wide open, wondering who the secret bf i've been hiding all along.. lolx!! Then I finished up my sentence with ".... of me spraining my ankle!!"... and then they let out a big sigh... lolx!!!

Yes yes, last year,
22nd june, it was the very first time I ever injured myself so badly. Went into depressed mode. All you that read my blog last yr knew exactly how I felt. Shitty! Damnn shitty.... Wasn't allowed to play sports for 3 months (but I still played anyway...shhh!!parents still dno i played in bersatu!!! no wonder my ankle still a bit bengkak now). Broke some blood vessels, tore my anterior talofibular ligament.... And yes, it was just before bersatu games. Thanks to accupuncture that allowed me to walk.... tho the accupunturist did say I'm not allowed to play sports coz it won't be completely healed. Which is true, it ain't completely healed but I'm walking and running fine now after a year. Heeheee... so yea.. Happy Anniversary to Shermayne's currently healthy ankle!!! WooOoOoTtT!!!! Just thinking about it now makes me feel so lucky I'm all good for this bersatu games! Gna enjoy and go all out to the fullest!!! Woohoo!!! Right now, must take extreme care!!! Don't get myself injured for the next few days.

Bersatu Games is in a week's time. So looking forward to it! Had so much fun last year and I'm sure this year is gonna be way better! New memories shall arise, new friendship are gna be made. Gna be freezing our arses off in the cold since netball, touch and athletics are all outdoors but it's definitely going to be a good experience. Definitely a Survivor game but UMSA TRIBE all the way!!

I shall end this post with a link.. a link to one of gjin's post that i found very motivational and inspiring....heeheeheee :D

Click on the sizzling hot Gjin (teeheee :p) to read the post. 2006 Most Sporting Woman for the Bersatu Games wei!! Don't play play!!

By the way... my wish came true :D Guess guess what it is!! No price to the person who guess it right tho. lolx!

*hint: I owe some ppl lunch :D

exams are over, a huge relief

WooHooOoo!! Merdeka!! Merdeka! Merdeka!!!! Exams are over! Well, it was over on Tuesday but I didn't really had the time to sit down and blog. Didn't feel like it.

Biomechanics on Monday was possibly, most likely, definitely, 100% the best exam I ever sat. That 13.5 hours at Level 0 on Sunday did pay off. Went in there and in the 10 minutes reading time, I answered all 30 multi choice questions in my head. Why? Coz on Sunday we were doing 240 multi choice questions. It was a pain I tell you, to go through 240 of them when you're tired and hungry. But yea.. it paid off!!! D-rizzle is the man!! The short answers were exactly the same as last year except he changed the numbers and units. I did all 6 till I realized we only need to do 4. So I spent some time thinking which two to cancel out. The inverse dynamics kept me smiling all the way. Was frustrated over it before Sunday but thank goodness I got it sussed out. A grade in my pocket baby!! Heeheee.. yes, I am that confident for this paper. For most people, it was their last paper hence they were jumping for joy. They ended with a nice paper. As for me, I still had stats the next day. Gosh it was hard to even start on stats after the joy from coming out of biomechanics. I know stats would be another easy A to get but because I was overjoyed, hence I couldn't really study stats as my mind wasn't on it. I'm easily satisfied =D

Tuesday, stats didn't go too well. It was expected judging by how much study I did on Monday evening and also throughout the semester. Ohhh wellzzz.... should have aim higher but that's over. Bring on the holz baby!! Went shopping after that with swan and vanessa. Had a good laugh. Vanessa and her pink everything!!

Wednesday it was sleep in day. Woke up at 12.30pm. 13 plus hours of sleep. It was a good long sleep since I hv been sleeping 4 hrs ave a night for the past dno how many weeks. Didn't do much, was meant to clean my room but failed.

Thursday i.e. today, woke up at 10. Good weather. Slightly windy, cloudy but there's sun and it wasn't raining. Went for a run to the beach and then to the school. Bunch of macleans kids were having pe and they were doing their 3k run so I joined them. Lolx! Fun! hehehehe...but yeaa.... can feel that my stamina has gone down. Fitness level sux!!

Let's see if I'll wake up tomorrow morning and go for my morning jog. I doubt it! Need to dye mum's hair tomorrow then go to city for two meetings. Meeting with umno and petunia sports officers to discuss about the performance, and then marketing team meeting for the Ball. I want to go to Canada!!!!! Heeheee... not all hope is gone yet. I'm not officially rejected yet. Auck uni told me not to give up hope yet. Lolxx!! Praying and praying and waiting. Cepat lah!!! I want to get rid of this anxiety in me. Just tell me whether I'm rejected or accepted. What's so hard? Why still have to consider meh? Either you want me or don't want me ma... After that, it will be time for some sports! WoOoOoOTtT!! After so long!!! Finally!!! Can't wait can't wait! The sports craze begins tmrw till I fly off!! Wahahahahahaha!! So excited!!!

However, I have to make time for family. Bro' gf is arriving tmrw, she's gna be here for 3 weeks!! Dad's arriving on Saturday. Ahhh!!! Definitely have to make some family time. I wrote up my timetable and realized Sunday night will be the last night I'm having dinner with them till I fly off. Maybe I shall skip the potluck on Monday and have dinner with them instead. Priority, priority. Am still learning to get my priorities right. The potluck seems oh-so tempting but..... family. Family comes first, right?

Ok, now time for some Greys! Gna watch the episode for next week and the week after that coz I won't be able to watch it on TV when I'm down at Christchurch. Wakakaka... So when I come back, I'm right on track!!! Weeeeee!! The joy of having no exams is just awesome, don't you reckon'?

happy fathers day

Family comes first. That's what daddy told me all these while. That's what he has always been doing.

I gotta admit, I actually forgotten that today's father's day in Msia. It's quite annoying how father's day isn't the same as mother's day where it falls on the same day in all the countries. Father's day in NZ is celebrated in September. I guess my dad deserves to have two father's day a year because he is of a great man, who deserves to be pampered twice a year. Wahahahahhaa!!!! But right now, he's in Msia. Hehehe... so yea... sent him an email today, like right before this after coming back from uni.

Spent 13.5 hours there today. Exams sux!! It makes me forget dates. Man! Didn't even realize this is the third sunday of June until I came home and looked at my calendar. *sigh* Two more papers to go!! Biomechanics tomorrow. Today was madness again. It's like dejavu. Last sunday was madness, today madness again. Filled with laughter and a footlong subway chicken fillet like last week as well. Along with an apple and Tab Energy drink to keep me going throughout the day. Biomechanics. I'm sitting at 66% out of 70% right now. Exam's worth 30%. So you see how close am I in getting an A? Hence the crazy study session today. It all comes down to how much you want it eh? Can see I'm desperate to get an A. Getting A's for me are so rare so if I see the chance, I'm gonna go for it. Can't let this slip pass me. I'd be disappointed.
Alright, time to sleep. Tomorrow is the day, the day where I'll be able to do my inverse dynamics questions and other kinetics shitzzzzz and those marks will just come right into my pocket, thank you very much! Pooff!!! *fingers cross* I feel like I'm ready for it but you never know what shit D-rizzle will throw in!! (D-rizzle = nickname for Drew, my biomechanics lecturer! He's one cool dude hence the cool nickname we give him!)

Happy Daddy's Day!!

peeekaaaboo!!! This is one of the examples of how cool my dad is. A funny man indeed. Dinner time with him is always filled with laughter. Always coming up with lame reasonings and facts too! Now you know where the lameness in me comes from, eh? Heeeheee..Thanks papa!!!

no mcgill

Exams..... when you're not studying, you just start to think. Think of many many things. And then many many thoughts will just lead you to blogging.

Another disappointment coming along my way ... *sigh* I can feel it. I always have a high tendency in getting disappointed. Everyday, I check my mail. Hoping to get a reply. But so far, nothing, nil, zilch! Now just waiting for that mail to confirm my disappointment. Ohhh wellzzz.... at least I tried. At first, I was half-hearted but as it gets closer, I really really want it. Gives me a chance to run away from responsibilities and tasks that's gna come in the 2nd semester. But yeaaa.... guess I'm not that lucky afterall. I've given up on hoping.

The only thing I'm looking forward to in semester 2 is my nutrition paper and weekend sports. Nothing else. What I dread the most? Sad to say, the UMSA Ball. Why? A lot a lot of reasons in which I don't really want to say. Just...... just unhappy with some things and some people that has been accummulated over the past I dno how many weeks. People say forgive and forget but for this little girl here, no, she can't for certain stuff. I guess it's because I know they themselves have something against me and are unhappy. They won't say they're unhappy but I can see it from the way they react towards me. Or maybe, I'm being paranoid. I doubt it tho. I've gotten over some stuff but not all. I tried. I thought I have forgotten everything but there's this trigger in me that can be pulled and then I can go all GrRRrRRR!! As you can see, it's been pulled today. Lolx!!

*sigh* Only two more days, what are the chances right? Might as well just give up now. As I said, at least I tried....

Au Revoir McGill!!

*not all is bad. Mid exam break was great yesterday. Today's waffle was awesome. And........ I felt appreciated yesterday. Just the thing I need. To know that at least I've done something right for once and it's been appreciated :D

mid exam break tomorrow

This is it! Tomorrow, 5.30p.m., the mid exam break starts!!! It's the halfway mark of our exams. It's two papers down, two to go! Ahh!! Let's see. Swan says go play squash after our exam paper to burn off those fats we ate at KK. Tuesday go for athletics and then after athletics, hulu cat for our exam break celebration! Wahahahaha!! People celebrate after all their papers, we two jokers celebrate when we're halfway through. Heehee :p

And here I am talking about celebrating when I have my 60% exercise physiology paper at 2.15pm. I deserve to blog k. I was at uni from 10 am till 11.30pm. Basically did one whole sem of studying in 12 hours. Decided to actually go through every single learning objectives because it was pointless going through past papers without knowing the theory. Yesterday, took 4 hours to do 20 multi choice questions. Today went through 54 objectives and it took me and leighton 10 hours! It was crazy!! It was intense (altho heaps of laughter went on and we chased away anyone who came to our table just by laughing). Man, I didn't even have time to really check my phone or even text! But yeaa.. it was good study. At the end of the day, took 15 minutes to go through 25 multi choice questions. I'm heaps more confident than yesterday. if only I had one extra day for this, then I might be able to score an A in this paper. But now...... I have to be super lucky to get an A. *sigh* This is the result you get for being last minute I suppose. Ohhh welllzzzzz..... still... when will I learn huh? Haha!!

alright.. Time to sleep. But before I go... let me show you my bible. My bible that's been guiding me for....................................... the past 24 hours :)

tadaaa!! honestly, this is actually a good book to read. Especially the irrelevant stuff that won't be coming out in the exam. ahhh! Now that's one of the reason I ran out of time. Been reading the wrong stuff. Heeheee :D

medsci205 is a killer

Old grumpy people shouldn't be exam supervisors.

So picture this. I walked into the exam room, sat down and started filling in my scantron sheet like everyone else. Then this old lady walked up to me and said:"You're not allowed to write yet. Pens down." I said everyone else is doing the same, we are just filling in our details. And she completely ignored what I said and said "Pens down." She'd probably realized it's her mistake but she don't wanna admit she's wrong. Hence, I only managed to fill out my id number and name on my scantron sheet. Didn't manage to write down my version number and shade it in. And she was staring at me the whole time during the reading time. Baassskeett!! What a bad way to start my exam. And it's medsci.

When we managed to start writing, I completely forgotten about filling out the rest of my scantron sheet. As for the short answers, I also did not write my name on the booklet. The only name I wrote was my name on the essay booklet. I ran out of time. I've already lost 45 marks in total for not answering some questions at all. This exam sucked.

So anyway, time's up! Pens down. Realized I didn't write my name in the question/answer booklet nor did I fill up my version number on the scantron sheet. So I raised my hand up, politely asked another exam supervisor if I can fill out my name and my version number. *sigh* Stupid old MAN (yea..it's a man this time.. bet the old man and old lady are couples n they juz hv bad sex life hence their grumpiness) said :"Too bad, time's up. Your lost". Far out man! It's just my name for goodness sake!!! No choice, I handed my scantron sheet without a version number, essay booklet with name, short answer booklet without a name at the front. My name was written in one of the pages of that booklet, somewhere in the middle. At least it was tied together. Just hope they don't separate it. Orelse it'll be pieces of paper floating around, nameless.

Today just sucked to the max. And the exam did not go well at all. Not only the name incident. The exam as a whole. Will I even pass this paper? 45 marks already gone down the drain. Exams out of 145 marks. You tell me how to pass? When the majority of multi choice questions were done using Eeeniee meeniee maineee more method and the essay questions were written poorly and probably out of topic and managed to only write one instead of 2. Short answers, I only answered 10 marks which i'm not sure if it's all right. The other 15 marks gone just like that coz i have no idea what they're asking.

Lalalalala.....

Now I'm just hoping everyone did really bad and they scale the passing mark. Please scale it down to 30%. Then I'll pass :D

of chocs

Screw it! Screw the idea of going through all the lecture notes. I'm running out of time. At least the lecture notes that I'm not going to go through are the ones that I glance through for the mid-sem test. Went over last year's medsci205 paper today at uni. Took the whole day and I'm not finished. I came to the point of giving up. Flipped through the textbook, course notes and still have no idea what they are asking for. I'm.................... in deep shit. Not feeling productive at all today. Feeling crappy. *sigh* Plus the amount of chocs I consumed today, makes me feel even worst since I ate the chocs and didn't do much. Emailed the tutor and hopefully he replies me and give me some ideas on how to answer the questions. Can really see that I'm in desperate measures that I have to bring myself emailing the tutor! Never done this before. Shows that I really do need help! Really need to pass this paper man!!!

Can't wait for the 11th of June to be over. Where two of my dreadful papers will be finished! Gonna have a mini mid exam break on the 12th of June with swan after athletics. Hulucat here I come!! The last two papers are pretty alright. Biomechanics exam worth 30% and stats worth 60%. They are back to back but I think I'll do fine. But still have to work hard on those coz it's a huge opportunity there to get an A and bring my GPA scores up. Don't let the opportunity pass you by, right?

By the way, Munchy mart is selling kinder bueno chocs at a really cheap price! $2.50 for 6 fingers! I love kinder chocs except I hardly buy them coz they are too pricey. But now... heeheeheee.....

Look out for Shermayne with the chocobelly after the exams!!

and that's not all!!!! She's got more in her drawer!

alrightey.. it's been decided. I shall have to go for a run on Friday morning before I start studying for exercise physiology.

I've spent 8 hours with Ms.Edgar's brain yesterday. I've spent 8 hours with The General's abs today. Tomorrow, who shall I spend my time with? And which part of their body shall I go to?

I realized I'm as last minute as last year for my first two papers. Look here! Things never change, do they? Hehehe.. I figured I got through it last year so I should be able to do it this year!

I have to pass medsci. No way am I gonna repeat this paper. It would be damn depressing to sit through another term of medsci lectures and do those lab reports again. No way man! Today I was saying to myself : This shall be the last day I'm walking to grafton to pick up my very last medsci lab report in my life. This shall be the last day I will ever attend medsci205 lectures!

Right now, I have 24% out of 35% of medsci205. So if I pass the finals, I'll pass this paper! Sounds easy to just pass eh? No, I nearly failed the mid semester test, just passed on the dot! So yea... high risk of failing this paper if I don't buckle up. Can I dig it?

Good luck to all of you in ur exams!!! We can do it!!!
